i did send them a scanned noa2 2 weeks before they will reply.. this is their reply

Please be advised that the National Visa Center (NVC) has received your inquiry and the attached I-797 Notice of Action - Approval Notice. Unfortunately, we do not have record of receiving your approved petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. The NVC will contact USCIS on your behalf for information on the location of this petition.

i called to uscis already and they only do is make a transfer request to the NBC..they advice to wait a 30 days.

It took mine 31 days. And I thought that was forever. Call the USCIS again and ask them to open a request to find out where your file is. They have 30 days to ship it to the NVC but you are pasted that. For me the USCIS said it was shipped on Feb 11 but the NVC said they didn't get it to the March 11. It's my understanding that if you were at a local office they ship it back to the NBC and the NBC ships it to the NVC.

Since you are past the 30 days you can also try calling your congressman and see if his office can help find your file.

I am in the same boat, sort of. I got my NOA2 about 29 days ago. I called NVC just about every other day for the past 2 weeks, and NVC is still saying they have not received my files as of yesterday. I finally called USCIS, and select option to report a problem on my case. I got the first operator and explained my situation. He went off for a few, came back and gave me an option to speak to another customer representative. I was on hold again for a few, then explained to the second operator my situation. She went off for a few, came back and told me that my files are ready to be sent to NVC, but it has not left USCIS, and still sitting in the mailroom in San Jose, CA.

Seriously? The mailroom? I mean for a freaking month? Does it really take that much time/effort to send out a piece of mail in the US of A? I mean my 85-year old dad do this everyday. Just ridiculous!

i agree with you ,

Same boat as everybody else.. :( My case is still NOT with NVC! 37 days and counting..

Hubby called USCIS 2 or 3 days ago, and was told that,'the approval notice of your case was sent on March1 and currently it is still within the normal processing time frame, please wait at least 30-60 days before contacting NVC..' :wow:

As for my child's case: March27-NVC recvd, upto now still NO NVC case#. Called up NVC and was told,'your case has been recently received in our building, allow 15-20 days more before your case will be entered into our computer and for you to have a case#.'

if the file was actually at the NBC, we see file transfers within 7 days.

Since it's over 7 days, I have to assume your casefile was approved at a local USCIS office. It is quite useful to figure out WHICH local office approved it, with a phone call INTO an ISO at USCIS.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

who have the same situation like me now? our I-130 approved feb 22 until now NVC didnt receive our case..

i had the same situation...

i got my NOA2 on Jan 22 and only today NVC got our approved petition! i just got off the phone with them.

USCIS sent our petition not to NVC (like our NOA2 hard copy said) they sent it to the local office by mistake. NVCReseach figured that out one month after we contacted them! We called many times to USCIS and they said the same thing everytime, that our case sent to NVC. even after NVCreseach found out that it is in local office USCIS was still saying that they have no records about this! so it was looooong months for us wondering what happened with our case...

I know exactly what u feel i wish your case in NVC soon.

P.S It usually takes 2 weeks for NVCresearch to respond.

Good luck!

we filled our application to Phoenix Lockbox and my case was at national benefit center (MSC)( processing) and we got the approval notice from NBC center

what ths means our case approved in different Office? since NVC they d'ont have our case file yet almost 23 days after we got approved ?

thanks for clarification
