Hello I completed my AOS and my IV visa packet and turned it ALL in to NVC I wanted to ask Jamaican VJ who have been through this process how long before the packet is sent to Kingston for the interview? and or what will be the next step for us? I am just trying to get a feel for how much longer Thanks in advance for your responses.

Before the package can be sent abroad, the case has to be closed first. It takes 1-2 weeks for packages to be reviewed. If both are accepted, then case complete. Once that's done, then the case is put into queue for an interview date to be assigned. This varies by embassy/consulate, so you'll need to do your own research on this. Once you have an interview date, you can set up your medical appointment and attend it. Then gather all required/optional documents for the interview. You may also have to sign up for courier service, but this differs by country, so you'll need to research this.

NVC will tell you to allow 20 days for processing. So you just have to call them at least twice per week until they tell you the case is completed or if something is missing.

They normally send an email advising of such. Then you will have to wait for an interview date, they say that April is fully booked they just started scheduling for May. I got my date yesterday for May 21 and my case was completed on March 13.
