Thanks! The lady mentioned that she thinks it'll be sent out by the end of the week, but that can change.

Same here, waited six weeks for TSC to send to NVC, they sent n 9/4, NVC received on 9/6 and gave me my case number, invoice number and beneficiary ID# that night (9/6). Now waiting for it to be sent to embassy. I already went online and completed DS-260 and DS-261.

Thanks! The lady mentioned that she thinks it'll be sent out by the end of the week, but that can change.

If she said so that's the way it should go. Good luck with everything and I hope you could get your interview set up soon! :) So happy for you!

I called DOS regarding my case still pending at NVC and the lady did not even know what to tell me because there are no comments made on my case, besides the fact that it is held at NVC. I believe that the consulate in my country is not taking any more k1 visas for now, reason for which NVC mud hold them until they are ready to get them, but I am really worried because the approval is good only until the 25th of november, and all of the interviews seem to be scheduled for December and so forth.

What can be done if the approved petition expires and they are still working on it? any ideas?

I called and got my NVC number tonight... so excited!!! They said that our petition was sent to Frankfurt on Friday... I had been prepared for a longer wait, and now this is caught me off guard! I've been trying to research our next step... do we now wait for the consulate to contact us? After we receive our NVC number are we finished dealing with the NVC?

Thanks for the help - this thread has been a god send during this process. :)

I think it really depends on the embassy. With us, we are going through Vancouver, and they take emails about k-1s but no phone calls, so we've emailed them and received packet 3 through email instead of waiting for it in the mail. But you should defiantly get started on collecting the items you'll need: police certificate(s), birth certificate, divorce decrees, I-134 & financial docs, etc.

As for NVC I do believe its the last time for the actual k-1, but not forever, AOS and all in the future...

Thanks for the help! We found out that the German consulate only accepts K1 visa phone calls at specific times during the week. I wonder if they'd email us our packet as well.

It's time to get busy with paperwork! I hope this process wraps up smoothly/quickly... for the both of us! For all of us! :)

Good luck! Your process has been so fast! I'm waiting for them to log my P3. It just arrived there yesterday. According to the Montreal Embassy site, soonest interview date is 80 days away. But I'm already in the US with my fiance so I'm not depressed.
