After all of that complaining I did last week, I was surprised to find a text message from the USCIS on Tuesday evening suggesting that I check my status... we were approved! I guess now we wait to see when it gets transferred to the NVC and for whatever they sent me to arrive! We're so excited and that's a HUGE load off.

Congratulations! I hope they forward your file quick! :)

My petition has been sent to Montreal Consulate but they haven't sent out packet 3 yet. Happening much faster for me than anticipated. He informed that by "probably" Monday, it should be sent out! I am sooooo looking forward to being able to book the interview so that i have a timeframe for everything!

They are not doing anything on Monday, given the Holiday, Labor Day, is that day!

Our NOA2 dated 8/14/2013 states it going to NVC and will process in 2-4 weeks. They will create a case# 'MNL' and then NVC will send to the embassy.

I emailed them 'NVC' as that is what was suggested for the MNL # and also so when I get an Email with my MNL# I will know when the case has been sent to the embassy. I know I can call now too for the MNL# if it has been created but again I was told to email NVC for a email/written doc that I can forward to my Fiance/Beneficiary to print out for the Embassy appointment. and also I will know when it was sent to embassy.

Hope this helps.

That's the typical form letter NOA2 letter. I assume that back in the day, they were forwarded straight to the embassy, but they all go through NVC first now. I think, as with all things government, they never bothered to update the form letters.

And just an FYI, when you get your case number and start checking that website for updates, don't be alarmed at the status that says NVC sent/scheduled your interview. It's yet another form letter response that does not hold true for k1s.

Yay! I'm so happy you get to keep your interview. We'll be sending in packet 3 on Thursday when he has time to hunt down a fax machine. Lol. Let me know your thoughts on the medical and interview when you have them. I'm at the curiosity and nervous stage, so I want to know what it's like going through Vancouver.

I really hope you get it! I am still waiting for the letter after a service request put in on August 21st.

At least my case was transfered to NVC and I got my case # but they are holding it there, in a supposed Administrative Processing and would not give me a time frame of when it could be sent out to the embassy.
