Has the embassy received your packet or have they even sent your packet 4? They can cancel your interview without notice if you haven't waited for that. Gulp...

I am not worried about them canceling it. If they do they do. I could send them packet 3 but they haven't received by file as it was only marked in Transit today. SO we will see. If they let me have the interview date then yay for me, otherwise I will rebook it soon enough. I was more wanting to get the visa fee paid. I may call them to see if they had received it tomorrow. Does anyone know if there is a way to see if it has reached the consulate?

The only way I know of is by checking the website with your case number. I had B email Vancouver on Thursday. He got a reply yesterday that they haven't received our case yet, but they'd email him packet 3 when they did. I just checked our status and its changed fron "in transit" to "ready". But it also says to schedule an interview in Montreal...but we have a VAC case number....wondering if they screwed the pooch again by sending us to Montreal or if its just an error on the website.

By the way, when you booked your interview, what did the dates look like?

When I booked there was lots the last two weeks of September and most of OCtober at VAC. I snagged one for September 12 but that is probably optimistic. I have until 5pm on the 11th to change it if I need to. I am not booking the medical till I know the consolate has it anyway so I can send packet 3 and get the invite letter.

Hmm that is strange then.

I checked on the DHL website and it says that packages were sent out to Montreal and Vancouver on August 27 and received yesterday so hoepfully they will open them and get them in thier system ASAP. This waiting game sucks. LOL I am so ready to be done with Work and such here and get on the road. We are looking at me leaving, hitting the road on November 1.

After all of that complaining I did last week, I was surprised to find a text message from the USCIS on Tuesday evening suggesting that I check my status... we were approved! I guess now we wait to see when it gets transferred to the NVC and for whatever they sent me to arrive! We're so excited and that's a HUGE load off.
