How can they ship a file that approved on August 16, but not those approved in July. Makes absolutely no sense. Once a file has been approved what else needs to be done with that file but ship the damn thing.

I was told by a Tier 2 at USCIS that the Petitions are not sent in Batches. When I asked her to please tell me the physical location of my Petition , I was told that they could not access that information at this time. She was rude to say the least. That is why I wrote my Congressman, their answers make no logical sense.

We have been in transit for a week now. NVC still hasnt gotten our file or at least hasn't logged it and assigned a case number. I have packet 3 jsut about ready to go, and am jsut aching to get the interview and nedical schedules. I am hoping to be on the road November 1...since I don't think I will get everyhting done before the end of August. I need to give a months notice for my rental and I promnised work I would give a month as well. I really hate not being able to make plans...

Strange you haven't gotten your case number yet. Yours was shipped before mine. I called 2 days ago, received my case number and she informed me that by Monday, my case will be shipped to Montreal. Oh just saw your post that you just got it. Congrats lol!

I just got it today. There was nothing yesterday morning, but this moring they gave me my case number and it says it is at NVC. SO now the next stage of the waiting game begins. I was almost in tears and my boss had his office door open. He said he know as soon as my voice changed and I was all excited. He was laughing at me.

None of it makes sense. They treat us like we have no rights as citizens. Why can they not tell us where our file is. I have the NVC, NSC AND VSC DOING A search for my file and no one can tell me where it is.

I visited my Congressman's web site, found the authorization Form , printed, filled out and scanned the form then sent to the Email they provided. I waited an hour and then called. Good thing I did because the person I emailed is out of the office so another staffer helped me. He said he would send his inquiry today and would hear back next week.

Received the NOA1 on April 25th, a week after we filed, and I've yet to hear anything. Our status says that my "alien fiancee's number has been changed" or something to that extent. I called and asked about it and they said it was a computer error and he's sent a request of inquiry, or something... I'm confused and also upset, it feels like something went wrong. Anyone else have to deal with this? Given, it's within the five month window on the USCIS site, but seeing people here getting theirs in 58 days doesn't make me too confident or happy. We are at the California service center.

It doesn't say anything about an RFE on the site, though, it just says:

Initial Review

On April 25, 2013, your Alien Registration Number was changed relating to your I129F, PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please check our website at www.uscis.gov for further updates on your case. Please wait until the end of normal processing time before calling customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for live assistance.

Hello agentoneal,

We were at CSC and a NOA1 date of April 24th. We were officially approved on August 14th but didn't change our online status until April 15th and that is when I found this out that we were approved. You are so right that timing means no sense and I wondered why others keep getting approved in front of us but then it happened. My VJ estimated timeline kept adjusting by about 7 days out but when it was 6 days out it happened in a few days. So ?? maybe keep an eye on that for a clue. If you are being worked on but they are looking for an RFE at least you will know you case is worked on.

I wish you the best and hope you see good news soon.
