The 13-character application receipt number can be found on application notices you have received from the USCIS. It begins with three letters such as (EAC, WAC, LIN, or SRC). Dashes ("-") should be omitted when entering a receipt number. However, all other characters, including asterisks ("*"), can be included if listed on your notice as part of the receipt number.

What does it mean has happened or is going on? I have asked this on another forum I just wanna get more feed back for peace of mind

From what I've seen that happens when your case is being worked on. I would say you have either a decision or an RFE coming soon!

Our online status now as of july 31 is RFE, my fiancee is here with me now in the Philippines and will be back next week to the US, how long does it take to receive the hard copy? maybe the ine they requestiong is the original signature of mine (bat letter of intent) and his sign the one of the form. Coz he mistakenly sent the photocopies instead of the original or that forms.

Question is:

1: how long before we receive the hard coy of the RFE.?

2: how long is the waiting time again after we send the request?

1. Typically within 2 weeks, but it can vary depending on the distance you are from the Service Center.
2. Once the Service Center receives your RFE Reply, it's typically Adjudicated within 2-3 weeks.

A veteran VJ'er might have better/more accurate info though.

I guess I should chime in this discussion too, since just Mon night I got a text that said there's a change in my case. So i log on and shows that I got my NOA2!!! bUT now I'm also waiting for the physical one, which you must send a copy of to the beneficiary. I've also requested my tax files as well. This weekend plan to do the I-134 and all of that other stuff....... btw it helps for BOTH petitioner and beneficiary to be familiar with the process after NOA2... just FYI!!!

I have been monitoring this post of April Filers since it started. I'm CSC With NOA1 April 24th. 4 weeks ago I started watching because of all the April and a few May CSC were being approved and seen more and more from around my date even later towards May. The last week an half I have seen most April and May approved from Vermont transfers to Texas and God Bless them as they always seem to have to wait longer but now are blessed with very short waits. Since I planned on a 5 month wait and it really is up to my God to help my approval, I never felt bad and just smiled :-) I'm ok with the fact that nothing in the USCIS processing makes sense. A few or a hundred people with earlier WAC, EA # are approved and you are not. Yes, it's exciting to go check but I am now reserved just to sit back and watch the show :-) My prayers daily are for all of us to be with the one we love and our kids if if they are involved like in my case. So what I'm saying is I'm ok with waiting as to me it is all in Gods time and not mine.

Happy Thursday my VJ Friends and congratulations for all April filers who have NOA2 and to the rest of us, keep smiling and prayers are worth more than gold.

Hi everyone! I received an RFE notice last Thursday (email, text). Any idea how long it takes to receive the hard copy?

Every case has a number, and it starts off with "EAC....". You should have one on your NOA1.

For example - EAC1390253701. you can replace the last 3 digits and get the status of the next case. EAC1390253702, EAC1390253703, EAC1390253704...and so on....just keep in mind that not all cases are k-1s so you'll have to read through.

Last June we mailed 2 letters ( 1 senator & 1 representative) mailed from Philippines to US via regular postal. Today we received an email to our representative staff that they contacted USCIS and said our status is on RFE which is the online status last July 31, at least they responded and they really trying to help. Since my fiancee is here in PHIL the staff said she requested if she can have a copy of the letter coz she knows that my fiancee is here and he's not be abel to receive the letter. I hope the USCIS officer will give her a copy so we can prepare the needed RFE.

I got my NOA2 approval text last night. We have a NOA1 date of April 29th out of CSC.

The representative staff emailed us saying that CSC will scan and give them a copy of our RFE letter on Monday.

Called CSC yeaterday and was told RFE was sent July 11 but i still haven't received anything yet - they said it might take up to 30 days. Should i panic? Do RFEs normally take 30 days to receive? Please advice

We received the RFE letter copy today via mail. It was sent last July 31 from CSC office. They want divorce decree with the judge signature on it. What we only have is the clerk signature. He's missing some of the papers page.
