Are you sure you were approved on Sunday? Just wondering because I didn't think the government worked weekends. Lol

But yeah, I'm sure we are still at TSC. I called again today, and nothing's changed.

I've been following a thread in the NVC section and there are some late June and early July approvals still stuck there too so if yours was sent off that fast, you're extremely lucky smile.png

I believe my approval went into their systems on Sunday when they did all that maintenance and fixed a bunch of things, but I don't know when it was approved, I'll find out when I get my NoA2 in the mail, and update my Timeline and Signature accordingly. That's just the information I have at the moment. :)

As for being lucky, I applied in April, so I'm at the 4 1/2 month mark. I'm not that lucky. :P

Well not exactly sure. But it's when I received the notice, which was quite a shock on Monday morning, I don't check weekends as yeah... wouldn't expect them to have been working too.

On July 28, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

But it could just be ghosts in the machine.

I have a feeling it's still at the TSC, as the general impression I get from the USCIS is the head does not know what the tail is doing. I'll keep you posted if we hear anything, as we are frantically trying to get the address changed before it reaches the consulate.

Our notice online was also posted on Sunday, and I was also surprised because I was not expecting that on a Sunday afternoon but hey I am not complaining!

Here is what I got on Sunday... On July 28, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

Did anyone already received the hard copy? I am dying to read the actual NOA2!!! Impatient!

I have no idea how to make the appointment for interview, how much will it cost and when will I be able to do it.

what is the number for the NVC? Does anyone have it?

You'll need a copy of your NoA2 paper for the AoS. So if they give you that attitude simply state that you'll need it for an Adjustment of Status once you're married.

Also, did you speak with a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Immigration Officer? You will likely need to file a service request to ask for the paper to be mailed to you and don't let them "bully" you out of it.

I haven't gotten my NoA2 paper yet either. If I don't get it by Friday I'm calling on Monday to file a Service Request for it to be mailed. smile.png

NVC Phone number : (603) 334-0700

You'll get packet 3 and packet 4 instructing you on what to submit, and how to schedule appointments with whom. The medical varies, but you can check your country's portal -- the embassy info should be there. The visa fee is $240 USD.

I have the paper copy of our NOA2. but online still says initial review. Kinda in a reverse situation of some that don't get the physical NOA2. It was only a tier 1. I was at work and didn't have time to sit on hold for a Tier 2. I would love to see, Decision made, or Post decision activity online, so I at least know what is going on but it seems much of what happens in Texas isn't following protocal.

Then don't worry about it. The online service is just a service. The paper is what you really need.

I am not worried about it, Just frustrated that I can't track anything becuase they haven't updated my case online. No notices as to where it is going or if it has been sent to NVC all that stuff. I can't be calling every day and have some timelines to look at as far as getting kids in school, and such. I know ours was approved on the 24th and my fiance received hard copy on the Saturday. But then he is in Texas so mailing time isn't much.

my fiancee was on hold for 116 mins for a tier 2 officer, and he turned out to be rude and of NO help. All he said was "your file is still well within the processing time limit, and we'll have an update for you regarding your case before august 12"

my fiancee told him how every who filed with me/after me are getting approvals, and RFEs, and we're the only ones that are stuck, but the officer made some lame excuse about how there center is still processing 129F's from Feb.

idk what to do here...I'm running out of patience

my fiancee told him how every who filed with me/after me are getting approvals, and RFEs, and we're the only ones that are stuck, but the officer made some lame excuse about how there center is still processing 129F's from Feb.

idk what to do here...I'm running out of patience

USCIS has processing times of 5 months to Adjudicate a Petition. Many of the people who are April filers that are getting approvals are Texas Transfers. It does not look like your case was one of those that were transferred, so Vermont is running at a different rate than Texas. Don't compare your petition to others, because there were not many April filers left in VT.

You're still within the 5 month processing time, so have some patience. Every case is different and is processed differently. Some cases require extra looking into, such as a background check had a name hit (which is common) so someone has to check the information to find out if the name hit was for the same person or not (they check by national ID, passport number, date of birth, etc). Sometimes a Service Center slows down, or your adjudicator goes on vacation and doesn't sign your case out for one reason or another. There are a million reasons. I would stay patient until you hit that 5 1/2 month mark, which is September-October. I know this process is difficult, so do what you can to learn about the process once you get your approval and get all the documents you need to the beneficiary, such as any certificates (birth/death/divorce) anything that needs the original signatures (Letter of Intent), any proof you need to provide, etc. The more prepared you are once you get the approval the faster the embassy process will be for you. :)

Filed: AOS (apr) Country: Argentina
Timeline

I am not worried about it, Just frustrated that I can't track anything becuase they haven't updated my case online. No notices as to where it is going or if it has been sent to NVC all that stuff. I can't be calling every day and have some timelines to look at as far as getting kids in school, and such. I know ours was approved on the 24th and my fiance received hard copy on the Saturday. But then he is in Texas so mailing time isn't much.

They typically say to wait 2 weeks after you "approval date" on the NoA2, before you start calling. I am still waiting for the paper, but I'll likely start calling sometime next week if I don't have the paper by then. xD
