I'm not even going to apologize for this- I am allowed to tell people that my case has been transferred.

I'm not asking you to apologize.

Yes because we know everyone always updates Igor's list.

And being in Canada is a hell of a lot easier than being in Europe, or Asia, or Africa.

Hate to break it to you, but if you are going to get upset each time someone posts about being approved then you may want to limit your access to this part of the forum because everyone posts when they're accepted.

Here is some useful information for you....don't go to the May filers thread. ;)

Thank you for understanding where I was coming from. Best of luck with all your future plans!

whoa. o.o

I will honestly say that while I understand how frustrating the wait is, and how stressful on relationships it can be -- we all have our trials and tribulations and we all decided to take the same road.

I haven't seen my man since I left Argentina January 22nd. I got approved, sure but it's not like I can just drive up or take an inexpensive flight to go see him. A round trip ticket to & from Buenos Aires costs $1,300+ USD. Not to mention food, apartment rental, cab rides, etc. I also have two special needs children, and my ex husband is no longer in the picture so it's just me. I can't go see him more than once a year, and him getting a visa to come here is nearly impossible unless he owns property down there.

Sure I'm excited that I got approved -- but it still means I won't see him for another 2-4 months providing everything goes well.

As for those waiting, the process for the USCIS sucks, especially since we never know what's really going on. The not knowing I think is the worst, because we think they're all just sitting there with their thumbs up their arses. This isn't the case. They have so many petitions that it would make your head spin. They process them as fast as they can, and I think the process could be improved, in the sense of giving people more feedback on what's going on, I understand that's difficult to implement on such a large scale.

One way to help with the restlessness is prepare everything for packet 3, get all the documents together, fill out the paperwork as best as you can, and start buying the things your fiance(e) will need once he/she is living with you. Start planning wedding details, keep busy. Talk every day. Learn as much as you can about the process in the next steps. If you got everything down from the interview forward, learn about the AoS process.

Focusing so much on the long term goal will only frustrate you. Make some milestones to work on. Clean out your closets, organize your Garage, redecorate your bedroom, and have your fiance(e) help you design how to do it so it'll feel like both of yours! Talk about what you want to do with your home, together, once they're here, and try to implement their taste and touch in there as best as possible so they feel at home right away. :)

DOING THINGS is the best thing you CAN do. Preparing for their arrival will make you feel productive. It will make you feel more in control, and optimistic about the process and future. It's hard, we all know that very well. While you may be forced to wait longer, people like myself (and others who are even worse off) haven't seen their significant other in nearly a year -- or more!

So while you're frustrated and upset, instead of hating on the system, take that energy out and go toss out some junk to make room for theirs!

While this process is extremely frustrating, no one has a right to take their frustrations out on another member. USCIS is the one in control of the speed of this process and while the process is definitely unfair, attacking or insulting other members won't make your own process go any faster nor make you feel any better about it. For better or worse, it is what it is, so please don't make it harder on yourselves or anyone else by posting inappropriate comments and belittling their personal journeys.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Well it's been 10 days since our NOA2, so I called DOS to see if its been shipped & just not updated on the site. Nope, TSC hasn't forwarded it to NVC yet. I'm really hoping they start shipping in a timely manner...

This odd, we were approved on Sunday 28th. The beneficiary moved house on the 29th, so we called USCIS to see if we could catch it before it left. They said had already gone to NVC. There was nothing they could do.

It could just be the USCIS showing their usual level of competence.

I've looked at 100 before and about 200 after. There are only 5 approved before mine, 8 RFE's before and AFTER (I went about 150 files after mine) there are: 16 approved, 10 RFE's, 11 transferred. I know I'm close. Just don't appreciate certain comments in here.

how do u search those?

i think ours were among the fastest... got NOA1 May 3 (the day after i left to see her for the 2nd time!!) and guess what, JULY 29, not even 3 months later NOA2 came! but for those waiting i agree just be patient... i had no idea i'd get NOA2 this quick but sometimes u get lucky!

Every case has a number, and it starts off with "EAC....". You should have one on your NOA1.

For example - EAC1390253701. you can replace the last 3 digits and get the status of the next case. EAC1390253702, EAC1390253703, EAC1390253704...and so on....just keep in mind that not all cases are k-1s so you'll have to read through.

congratulations on your noa2!

totally jealous of all those getting approved. God knows how long my fiancee and I have to wait ClockWatch2.gif

Hopefully you don't have to wait too long!! I saw a couple from India get their approval just a week or so ago, and I am pretty sure they applied around 4/24. Good luck to you!!

Not every case starts with EAC that depends on the service center.

Vermont it's EAC

California it's WAC

Texas is SRC

Nebraska is LIN

It will be one of those 4 Service Center codes, and 10 digits. You can find it on any I-797C or Notice of Action (NoA).

i.e. AAA0000000000

An NoA looks like this:

29q0avq.jpg

The "Receipt Number" is indicated in the top left hand corner.

Good Luck!

It's because only California and Vermont process I-129f's.

Now, they recently trained Texas to do them as well, but they aren't initially sent there. They are transferred from another office, which happens to be Vermont right now.

Are you sure you were approved on Sunday? Just wondering because I didn't think the government worked weekends. Lol

But yeah, I'm sure we are still at TSC. I called again today, and nothing's changed.

I've been following a thread in the NVC section and there are some late June and early July approvals still stuck there too so if yours was sent off that fast, you're extremely lucky :)
