Haha, this is funny about the forms for packet 3 and 4! :-) thumbs up! I am still reading into the question but better be prepared earlier than later ;-) thanks to this forum it is easy to do!

Hoo, I see some of you have the forms for packet 3 and 4 ready to go. I guess i have to ask him be prepared for I-134 form and its supporting evidence.

I'm glad I found this forum smile.png

I'm getting nervous as well since I'm following march filers thread and some of them getting approved. I expected to get NOA2 around september or october at the first time, just lazing around eb0dfafc.gif and 2 months passed suddenly. Then I joined VJ, made a timeline and it says my case will be adjudicated at the end of July (really?blink.png ). I wish this is not a false hope.

Since I'm working in hospital i thought I might as well get the vaccine done, so I got the MMR vaccine just now. Next week I'll get another one for tetanus.

I think we can start prepare what's need to be prepared. Good luck all.

California processes applications faster than Vermont as of now. So yea, July might very well be when you may get approved. However, each case is independant and unique. So it may or not happen. It's always better to be prepared.

It's so funny. Back in april when my fiancee and I got our documents together, we checked and saw on the USCIS website that Vermont is processing applications in 5 months. And we both got so happy! but its all a lie =( Vermont is taking longer.

4/1/2013 Mailed I-129F to Dallas
4/3/2013 Application received in Dallas
4/8/2013 NOA1 approved/mailed back to fiancee in US

Hi Fellow April Filers. My file was received in Texas April 1, 2013. I have yet to receive my NOA1. I am hoping for no delays, fingers crossed. It will be sent to Vermont and my interview will be in Montreal. As you file, please join this thread. Can't wait to follow all your timelines.

Hi there, I am April 11, 2013. I hate this waiting game, I just saw someone approved who was a March filer. Wishful thinking tells me that next month would be for us, but I bet that's just what it is, wishful thinking. Don't understand how they work.

It is hard waiting. I was excited to start as well that Vermont was processing faster but now, we are back to just waiting waiting, waiting. I am not expecting anything before October, that way if anything happens before it will be a pleasant surprise. The waiting is hard, and it wears at all of us daily. Hang in there. We are only two months in. Our turns wil come.

Hi all! So I swore I wouldn't be obsessive with checking our status and such. So far I've been pretty good about it, only every other week or so, and only checking in here every so often. But tonight when I checked our timeline, it's showing early October for a possible noa2. Now don't get me wrong I'd be ecstatic if it came athat soon, we have been planning for early November. But I'm wondering if the timeline for Vermont is skewed because of the transfers/approvals from Texas. I've checked igor's list, and the recent approvals do seem to be from the Texas batches. Thoughts?

Also a question for you canucks, has anyone started gathering immunization records? If so how did you go about it? B says that his doctor is no longer in practice, and the records destroyed so I'm at a loss on what he needs to do. I've read about the blood tetre test, but where would he go to get it done?

Hi there, here’s my update.

I had a positive lab test for anti HBs so my GP said that I wouldn’t need booster dose of Hepatitis B vaccine since I got that shot some years ago and I still got the anti in my blood. Last week I got MMR vaccine done, if you’re planning to have a baby soon you’re not allowed to become pregnant for 3-4 months after vaccination. I don’t want to get all the vaccine shots on the same day so I’m planning to get them separately and put some weeks in between and I don’t need varicella vaccine because I had chicken pox when I was little. So I guess I have two left shots for tetanus and influenza (or do I need more? Pls correct me if I’m wrong)

Your fiancé can go to local GP and ask the doctor to run a lab test for anti HBs check.

No one can say for sure, but it is possible. An RFE isn't a denial though, and when you get one it means they're actually ready to process and approve/deny your case. They'll only delay your case decision by a couple weeks, which is never fun, but after MONTHS of waiting a couple weeks is merely annoying compared to a lifetime you'll have together!

I would say prepare everything now, so you have all the documents done the RIGHT way just in case, and cross your fingers that they won't mind the errors as much. :)

so I was just browsing the k1 section of travel.state.gov and it turns out that you need a police certificate from all countries of residence where you stayed for a period of longer than 6 months since the age of 16. I've stayed in US, Canada, and India. I just checked that getting a police certificate from the FBI will take around 16-18 weeks of processing! (i don't even know how it would look like for Canada and India)

is anyone having this problem? Has anyone thought about how to go about doing this?

The rules are a little different from each embassy, as I understand. The Embassy in France, for instance, requires a police certificate for residencies longer than 1 year, as opposed to 6 months.

Through VJ's portal, I looked at the requirement for embassies in India, but they seem quite unclear. I would post your question in the K1 forum for Indian members; additionally you could just e-mail the embassy you will go to and simply ask to verify the period of time. If they say a police report is required, go to travel.state.gov's "reciprocity by country" to obtain more information about how to get a police report from different countries.

Get started! Welcome to the waiting game sleep.png
