This was my post from another DC thread i started:

I just had an e mail from the Senators office, not good news im afraid:

Following you will find the response from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to my inquiry on your behalf. I hope that the information provided will be helpful and responsive to your specific concerns.

USCIS officials write "Thank you for your May 21, 2013 inquiry on behalf of your constituent, regarding her pending Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative. USCIS records show that Form I-130 was filed January 2013 and it remains pending at this time. Due to lack of resources, the current processing time for I-130s is 6 to 12 months. We will notify the constituent as soon as possible if any further information is needed, or when a decision has been made."

My staff and I stand ready to be of assistance to you in any other matter that is of concern to you. Thank you.

This. Is. Just. OUTRAGEOUS!

Why are cases still being transferred there ? Absolutely RIDICULOUS and something should be done about it DAMMIT!

2/25/2014 -Transferred to NSC 5/20/2014- DS-261 completed

3/31/2014 -Approved 5/21/2014- AOS fee invoiced and paid

5/22/2014- AOS package overnighted to NVC

5/28/2014- AOS scanned into the system

6/20/2014- IV invoice email (but fee still locked on CEAC )

6/23/2014- IV fee finally unlocked and paid.

IV package overnighted to NVC

6/30/2014- IV scanned in. DS260 completed.

7/1/2014- AOS accepted

7/2/2014- False checklist (AOS reviewed)

8/1/2014 False checklist (attorney's G28 reviewed)

8/2/2014 False checklist (NVC not sure why it was generated)

We wrote another letter to our Senator yesterday asking them to ask that very question and find out why, will let you know of any reply.

Like I mentioned before, we are hoping my husband will be moving soon (end of July/beginning of August). Turns out though it wouldn't be Philly, but NJ.

Now depending on his possible future zip code, our case would go to either: Philly, Newark or Mount Laurel.

We've done some research and looks like Mt. Laurel might be the best one, as it isn't as busy as the other two? Having a choice, he will move to the jurisdiction of a local field office that we could be approved in least time.

Nothing is set in stone and we will know in about two weeks, just trying to plan ahead- just in case :)

Will appreciate your thoughts on this guys!

Yes, I've heard DC is severely backlogged and is processing... October right now ranting33va.gif

Well, looks like Philly office IS a better one be transferred to. However I've read it takes them quite a while to send the case to NVC after the approval. But still .. 10 -12 in DC is just painfully long sad.png

ALSO- I have been consulting with an immigration attorney AND she said that NOT ALL CASES TAKE THAT LONG in DC, and it generally takes 5 months if the case isn't "complicated", no RFE's needed etc. She told me she a had quite a few I-130 transferred to DC and they all took about 5 months...

She is a very good lawyer.

Wow. All the best. I'm a jan filer. How did they inform you about the transfer.

I had an info pass this morning and they told me that they have my files .because I never received a notice from them about the transfer .I just figure out this morning .
