With the recent update with Vermont at 5 months wait time . It now seems possible to get the NA02 in June . Think if this question as if we do get it in June .

My fiancee is 6 months pregnant now and will be 8 months in June . I know once the NA02 arrives we can plan for the interview and get the medical done . However will they even see her while she is pregnant ? I am not a doctor , but I would think the vaccinations could harm the baby ? Is it even good to go to an interview while pregnant ? She is going to have the baby in the Philippines anyway . Even if the medical and interview was quick the airlines would not allow her to fly . I just want to find some things to do to help the process . A balance between the birth and interview phase to help save time . Honestly a August NA02 would be a blessing , but I want June LOL . Thanks for any help .

Mainly want to know about the medical with her being pregnant . We plan to take it day by day and at least schedule the interview and postpone if needed . Just thought to ask to see if anyone had some helpful advice .

She will not be able to get her vaccinations when she is pregnant. And her medical will only be valid for 6 months. You know that you don't have to rush the next step, once you have the Noa2 you have quite the time frame to get the rest done. Also, when the baby is born you need to register the birth at the us embassy so he or she gets the citizenship and that can also take some time.....

Its highly unlikely she will be allowed to fly at 8 months pregnant. You will want to check into that. She may have to postpone everything, have the baby there and then file for a CRBA for your child.

The I29F has been filed and we are about 3 months in to it . I kind of feel like I am in a holding pattern in an airplane . What should I be doing next ? Should I be building a folder of information from the filing date until the interview ? I told my fiance to make such a file for the interview as well . I will be flying to the Philippines to be with her and if possible in the interview as well . I called Vermont and I was told to expect the NA02 by July .

Also can someone link the page on what to do next after NA02 and also if anything on how to speed the process up after it's in the DOS phase .

The medical at St Lukes how early should you do that before the interview date ? How long will it take to do the medical ? I heard maybe 2 days ?

Thanks

You need to build the folder as you suggest. I kept adding to it each week. Emails, proof of relationship, etc. I made a folder with everything and FedEx it to her. You have things she will need like tax returns, etc.

Schedule medical 8 to ten days prior to interview date. Need two days.

Best advice I can give you is to follow through on you intention to be with her at the interview. I did that and believe it made all the difference in the world. I only saw 5 Americans there that day.

Just google the forum for what to do after noa2. More information than you can possibly use. All good. Just prepare your documents using the examples and you will be good.

I am planning on being at the interview with my fiancee . The problem this raises is the flights home . How do I book a flight in advance not knowing when she can leave . I want to use United Airlines and I was thinking of calling the airlines to see if they can arrange something . I know to change a ticket could cost $500 and up . Should I just get a one way ticket for myself and then just book 2 tickets home ? Would getting tickets in the Philippines be cheaper then here in the United States ? About how long after the interview will she get the packet and permission to leave ? I know this is a risk and things can happen such as lost packet or broken seals or worse . I just want to get an idea on the times with no problems to make my plans .

Well you can't use a one way ticket without buying another ticket leaving the Phils again to somewhere (or you have a visa to stay in the Phils), the airlines will not let you board.

Pushing things a little once you have your MNL # you can be done with the interview and have the visa in about 6 weeks, its the waiting for the visa to be delivered after approval that is the unknown. Two months would be the more relaxed and less stressful bet.

The complete process is in the link in my signature below.

We're hoping to schedule our interview for early June, but I booked my return flight for the end of July. If we get our Visa earlier, I'll change my return ticket. For me, it should be painless, because I purchased Insurance on my flight on Hawaiian. I'm not sure if there's something similar with UA, but I'd look into it if I were you. I anticipated changing my flight, and I'd rather pay the roughly $100 that Haw'n charges than have to pay that enormous change-fee that you mentioned.

I hope you can get something like that for your flight! Here's hoping to getting our approvals early, and having the luxury to choose the best return flight options! Woohoo!

I have a few questions about the upcoming interview . If someone can help us that would be great . Some backround information will be below to help you understand our situation fully .

1. How long (without any problems) does it take to get the papers to be able to leave the country .

2. Can I print anything such as papers of our chats and have her use them for proof of relationship ?

3. She is pregnant and due to give birth in July . When do or who do i tell of the birth ?

4. Would adding such child to the forms she will fill out be enough ?

5. Can a K-2 be filed at the U.S. Embassy ?

6. If she is not there to get the packet will they leave it with a family member ?

K-1 filed and NA01 Feb 22nd and we expect our NA02 July-August VSC .

My plan of being there for the interview is proving to be diffucult with not knowing when she can leave . Getting airline tickets to match is the problem . I called United airlines and was told the change fee would be $300 per ticket plus any change in fare . I really want to be there and paying that much would be a hardship , but has to be done if needed . I will try for making the return ticket to be 3-4 weeks later . I hope that will be enough time . I know there are problems that can happen such as damage to the packet or it never arriving . I am sure there are worse things , but I plan to go with a positive outlook .

She comes to a cafe to talk with me and always everything is either broken or just not there to be able to print papers . I can print all of our chats and bring them with me on the plane . I was concerned that the US Embassy may see they were printed from my pc and not from hers . We use skype and it's mostly copy and paste which is harder for her to do and easier for me to do . She has collected over the months cards letters and other things like her tickets stubs for when she was on flights with me . She has pictures she can have printed as proof as well . I have not sent letters to her directly due to the long amount and bad mailing system in the Philippines . To mail a letter even less then a pound was $50-100 with Fedex or UPS . I found DHL to be a bit cheaper . I am mailing her such a letter this week and just could not afford to do that a lot . I mailed her a box which took nearly 3 months to reach her . She has that documents and letters and cards i included . I just want to make sure she has a good file to present to the counsler officer . She is very good at doing this and has been since I left . Just checking all my bases here and do not want to forget something or extend an already long amount of time waiting for this .

She is pregnant and is due to give birth at the end of July . We expect our NA02 in July which I am happy to get , but concerned with the timing . To be honest I just want the NA02 to have it and say OK we did it . We will just have to plan everything around the birth . The medical can not be done and the interview can not be set until we know she can . Everything is going to happen at once I can feel it . Hey who said this was easy , right ?

This is my plan about our situation . I am going to get tickets once the NA02 comes and she is able to get a confirmed interview date . She will go for the medical 8-10 days before the interview . I wil plan to arrive in Manila the day before the interview . She will arive an hour before my flight and meet me in terminal 1 from terminal 2 . We will stay the night in Manila (Pan Pacific great hotel highly suggest it) and go the next day to the interview together . Then fly back to her home city and await the packet . Hopefully the time I have selected for us to leave will be good . If i have to pay to change the tickets then I will . I really want to support her during the interview and to miss that will be very hard to do .

The baby is not mine and we have delt with that trial in our relationship .I need advice on what to do about the interview and the possible problems from it . I plan to make another intent letter including the baby in it . Something to the effect of supporting her and the baby and stating my desire to still marry her within the 90 days of arrival to the U.S.A. . Myself being present during the interview will futher prove this . I don't know what else to really inculde other then chats about our talks about that trial . The less they know I feel is best and only that the issue was talked about and overcame . Showing that it has only proven to make our realtionship stronger . I am just trying to be honest with our situation to have it help us in the best possible way .

I speak the truth when i say this has been like a rollercoaster of ups and downs . What will make this all worth it is being on the plane with her holding her hand all the way home . I have the upmost faith in God that he will continue to provide for us . He has truly guided us to the right people and sites like this . We are truly blessed to find such a site like this to help us with great advice . We thank you all from the bottom of my hearts for all the encouragement , advice and help . You will all be in our prayers for you to be reunited with loved ones soon .

Thank You

Thomas and Julita

P..S I am sure we are all expert riders of the rollercoaster by now smile.png keep your arms up on the way down and keep your faith up too ! That day will come for all of us soon .

1. Usually a couple of weeks after interview, if approved.

2. Yes- print out chats, phone bills showing you called her, emails etc. They don't care where it is printed.

3. Normally not until the baby is born, but your situation is a bit different as she is pregnant from another man. Definitely update the letter of extend explaining the situation and that you are ok with it and still love her etc and will take care of the baby. She needs to tell them at the medical too, if baby not born by then, as there will be certain things (vaccinations, x-ray) they won;t do due to the pregnancy.

4/5- I think yes- in your case it would be better if the child is born before she gets NOA2, so you can just update the forms to include a K2. But You may want to ask these two parts in the K1 fiance visa forum for more expert advice.

6. Yes
