So what exactly causes a delay? I filed in November and was told the expected approval date would be end of March. I contacted my lawyer at the end of March and she said that the USCIS has been delayed and it will take two more months. This was really frustrating news and I called the USCIS today and the woman told me that it might take longer than two months because they are stuck on forms from July and nothing has been "updated" on the site or something like that, she didn't seem to know what was going on either. Is there anything I can do to get my process moving along? Anyone I can contact? Does anyone have any advice?

My lawyer hasn't said much, she just said we have to be patient. Isn't there anything I can do? Thanks!

Nope, you just gotta wait it out. Uscis are very much behind,it sucks but there is nothing you can do....

NVC case numbers March 22nd
My sons AOS and IV bill paid March 23rd (status in progress)
My sons AOS and IV bill shows as paid March 26
My IV bill paid March 26
Both packages sent on March 26
My IV bill shows as paid on March 27th
CC on both cases March 30

Current record holder of fastest through the NVC :D

Medical exam in Stockholm April 13th
Interview on May 16th !!!
POE Anchorage July 12th!! 2012

July 2015 n-400 in the mail

September 2015, interview

October 23rd 2015, Oath ceremony!!!!!​​

If your file was at CSC it could have been one of the damaged files from the burst pipe. Please see the USCIS service centers forum section.

Please fill in your timeline. They are quoting about a year to process at California right now. You could be in for a long wait. Please try to be patient. You could try raising awareness of the isuue of slow processing with your congressman like many others have done.

A year????? Wasn't that just ONE person's "quote" given to them after getting a hold of someone on the phone?!

Its about right. Avg wait time is around 8.5 months lately. Some lucky few go through really quickly tho still.
