Question about what petitioner needs to do while waiting for NOA

Hello! I'm from Argentina and my fiancee is from the States. We submitted the I-129f on February 1st and as of today, more than 60 days later, the USCIS website tells us that the application is still in the 'Initial Review' stage.

1) Any ideas (approximations perhaps) of how long it will take until the I-129f is approved?

2) The second and more important question concerns the fact that my fiancee and I are travelling international to work for 3 months (we are biologists working in the Dominican Republic) starting the 20th of April. Will there be anything important that we need to do when the I-129f is approved? Does the petitioner have to supply finger prints? If so, is this something we can have done and waiting to send out ahead of time. We're really worried that while we are abroad, there will be things we need to tend to but simply can't. So we're hoping to find out from this forum (as we've already skimmed the guides and they aren't clear) whether or not there is action that we need to take once the I-129f is approved.

Thank you so much for your time and any information you can pass our way.

Best wishes,

Marisol

You've waited 2months. It's possible you could wait another 3 or 4 months more b4 NOA2.

The K-1 guides is not clear on what to do after getting NOA2? Please go read it gain.

If you're with CSC, then sorry to say, you have A LOT longer to wait. Anywhere between 3-6 months longer, in fact.. And that's on top of your current 60 days. My fiance and I are currently at 6 months and still waiting. Read up on current processing times. They are extremely backlogged at the moment... As for the guides, I can't explain it any better than them as I have found them to be very clear and concise.. Have another good read around, I am sure you will find your answers :)
