Quick Response from Ombudsman (CSC)

I chose to email our form letter to the Ombudsman office and I sent a personal letter to the Director. I sent the email out Sunday and received a response this morning. I would like to copy the exact response here but there was a big warning at the bottom of the email response that said I need to get permission to forward the email.

Here is the content of the email:

The CSC processing time has slipped due to competeing agency priorities. CSC is currently shifting resources to address the I-129F. As resources are assigned the CSC expects the processing time for the I-129F to be reduced.

Guys,

Keep up the emails, keep up the letters, keep on writting your senators and congressmen. We are faced with a huge political battle and we are "David" in this battle.. Pressure,,Pressure,,Pressure is the only mechanism that will help us prevail. I beleive CSC is feeling that pressure now.

That's good to see that they a directly answering the problem and not giving out a generic response, which is all I got from them a couple months ago.

Exactly who sent you this message? Is it actaully reliable? I think all of us have gotten our hopes up many times, but are then saddened that things don't end up moving quickly. I know you weren't supposed to send details, but did they mention when they would be shifting the resources over to fiancé(e) visas?

Yes, the Ombudsman office did sepcificaly say resources were being shifted to work on the I-129F workload. They also used the current tense, not the past tense and not the future tense. I particulary bolded I-129F in my post because that was a specific detail. I could not forward the email itself. Feel free to send them an email yourself and let us know what response you get.

Great, I believe they are feeling the pressure. I sent a letter to Congressman Billy Long last week, I was contacted by his office the same day, they said they would look into it and get back with me. Keep writing those letters and making those phone calls!
