so my wife and i just finished completing the online DS260. We have gathered the IV application cover page, her birth certificate, a letter indicating no criminal history, our marriage certificate, and a copy of her passport's bio data page. Are we missing anything? This is our first marriage, she has no children, no military service, and has not served any time. This case is being processed electronically. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

By 'IV application cover page", do you mean the bar-coded cover sheet from the payment portal? If not, you need that. You're also missing the two passport-style photographs of the beneficiary.

You need a police clearance certificate from the proper issuing authority. Is that what you mean by a letter?

yes that is the cover page, it has the bar code on it. I checked here http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3195.html and it says that photographs need to be presented at the time of the interview, not with the packet. Anything else I might have missed?

oh, the consulate is in Juarez, my wife is from mexico... I am under the impression that her documents do not need to be translated since they are in Spanish and that is the official language in Mexico, am I right?

Mexico doesn't have police certificates.

Although it states on NVC's site (http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3195.html) that translations aren't necessary if the documents are in the official language of where the beneficiary will be interviewing, I've still seen people get checklists for translations. So, it's up to you if you want to get translations done.

Saylin, she was somehow able to get a letter :-) should i include it just in case?

If you want to. It's not an actual certificate though, just a letter.
