Hi,Great news for August filers. My hubby got text today. We were approved.Filed on August 8th , Priority date is August 13th.It’s been 7.5 months.I was going to wait one more month. But it’s done.So happy. Now I have a few questions.

1、Night years agao,My hubby filed K1 for mexican girlfriend. But didn't marry her because of her strong anger. He bought her ticket and see her off in airport.A few years later he heard from mutual friends that she went to visit relatives in Chicago and never left US.Has a baby now about 3years old.We are not sure whether she is still illegal or already adjusted status. My hubby is a contract spanish translator for both US homeland security and US drug department. He said has to have very clean background to do this job.Said it’s not a problem at all.Should i worried? Is this red flag or they will just ignore? We wrote an explantion letter about that.He couldn't control where ex gf go,right?Do you think they already read the letter or wait for visa officers to read in Guangzhou?

2、My hubby will come for interview with me in Guangzhou. Can he go inside the consulate with me or have to wait outside?I am nervous. With him next to me.I will feel better.

3、I heard Guangzhou consulate has citizen meeting. If we go to inqury about case and explain our worries. Will this help for interview? Will they want to talk about it?

4、Will my interview in May or June? What to do next?

5、We meet each other long time ago. It’s 7years.Talk everyday. How many years phone calls they need?

Thanks very much.Hope everyone approved very soon.

Thanks God!

  1. Expect to be asked many questions about his prior relationship. Prepare well so you know the ins and outs of it. Others have been denied visas because they are not able to answers questions about former relationships of the petitioner.
  2. No, he will not be allowed in the interview area. The Consulate itself is on the 5th floor of a multi-story, multi-use building. He will be able to wait on the floor below.
  3. This was discontinued years ago.
  4. Most likely June. The next step is the NVC, I would suggest reading my thread here for what to expect when dealing with the NVC: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/327561-my-ep-experience/
  5. IMO, it's a good idea to submit records of communication from all 7 years.
