Welcome to the forum.

Follow the excellent forum step-by-step K-1 GUIDE for complete information about the forms and requirements. Regarding the K-2, for right now, make sure that the child is listed as indicated on the I-129F petition.There will be more necessary for the child at the the embassy/consulate interview phase of your journey.

Start collecting all evidence from Now... Boarding passes, photos with dates and persons in photos written on the back of each photo. Receipts from hotels or items purchased, etc, etc, etc. This will be crucial later on. Make sure anyone coming to the U.S. has an updated passport. Birth Certificates. My fiance was just approved on the 21st of March. It was a long long process. Just make sure your prepared. I used a website called Rapidvisa to get all the paperwork. That was before i found visajourney.

Check out my interview date story:

Hello and welcome!

ANYTHING that shows dates and seems like evidence make sure u save and make copies of it. (i.e. i sent bank statements of when i was over there that showed dates and location of when i used my atm card to withdraw money) also MAKE SURE YOU DO get a letter of intent from him. u will definitely be needing that when u send off ur packet. i got an RFE for NOT sending one but luckily i had him sign one just in case they asked for one and they did.

also, when that packet reaches the DR embassy they primarily look for FAMILY AND FRIENDS pictures! make sure u take a ton of them!!! the dr is high on fraud so they make sure the relationship is legit!

any questions, the dr crew is here to help with any questions u have! good luck with your journey! :)

The time of your divorce and the time you file I-129f is "critical". How recent was your divorce finalized? This will definitely be a question that comes up during the interview process. Gather all the neccessary documents as mentioned from the other posters. You will need to prove your relationship real. Don't forget to include your divorce decree in your application.

K1 Visa Process -> 12/09-06/10 Married -> 09/10/10 AOS Process -> 09/10-12/10 Removal of Conditions-> 09/12-07/13

U.S. Naturalization -> 7/8/20

My divorce was finalized in march. I have been in process for the past year to get the divorce finalized. In da mean time me and my bf had twins who r four months now. Me n my bf have been together for a lil over a year now. I would have married him there but the Dr has a a law that states a woman has to wait for a few months. So if I file my k1 now will I have an issue? Not to mention my ex came on a k3 8 years ago n I had pet in ed for him. Any insight will be great. I know how da k3 works just need sum pointers on da k1 process.
