We are in the same boat, they received application on monday 8th, no Noa1 or check cashed. But on my AOS i sent on march 26th and got Noa1 on 22nd April, so im hopeful we will all here something soon

They haven't cashed my check yet either (my I751 was delivered last week on the 10th). I hope I get my NOA1 by the end of the week.

What tax papers are you talking about? Joint tax returns? Tax transcripts are fine and preferred, actually. 185 pages of one piece of evidence is a bit much, IMHO. I can't imagine them being very happy with having to read through all those pages.

These are our joint filings from two yrs. We use a CPA and its always a bulk of papers!

I am sending my papers in tomorrow! 04/12/2013 i am sure they will get it by 04/16/2013 could you please add me to the list.

So apparently USPS has lost my package!!! this is annoying!!!

How do you know? Have you confirmed with them? If you sent the package with tracking, they should be able to locate it.

Note: sometimes they don't update the delivery status even if your item has been delivered, or there could be a delay of several dates in updating the status. Annoying as it sounds, it could very well be the case. I suggest contacting USPS in the first place with your tracking number and ask about the whereabouts of your package.

I have contacted the USPS and they say the package is still in transit! I dont know how they operate!

Well, we had our infopass appointment this morning. Hubby missed out on 3 hours of work just to find out that, while they CAN and WILL give him an extension stamp, it has to be closer to the expiry date. So pretty much, if we don't hear anything by the 24th, we have to make ANOTHER appointment for the 26th, and his GC expires on the 28th. It would have been pretty nice if the lady I talked to at the National Service Center would have told us that little tidbit of knowledge. Money is pretty tight as it is, and losing 3 hours for nothing doesn't tickle either of our fancies. We also found out that they haven't even put it in the computer yet... so it's just sitting on someone's desk at CSC while they take a coffee break, lol. :(

Blaaaah. You know... we didn't have any issues with K1 or AOS... I should have figured ROC would bunk it all up, lol...

I don't understand why this sudden slow down is happening in CSC. NOA1s and bio appointment letters are typically sent out quickly.

I'm going to take a wild stab in the dark and wonder if this has anything to do with the Boston incident, as they were saying in the news the other day that they are also pulling resources from the Department of Homeland Security to investigate the bombings.

The other explanation would be that whoever is in charge of receiving/filing I-751 petitions is on vacation or something and there's a backlog. But I doubt they'd only have one person for that :o

7/2/10- NOA1

2/9/11- NOA2 (transferred to Texas)

NVC

2/28/11- case number received

3/2/11- Paid AOS bill

3/5/11- Paid IV bill

3/12/11- expedite to Bogota consulate approved!!!

3/14/11- left NVC to Bogota for further processing

3/17/11- received by Bogota, emailed consulate and was told to send DS-230 and DS-2100 (packet 3)

3/18/11- packet 3 emailed to Bogota consulate, email confirmation on March 23

3/31/11- Interview date! Approved!!!!!!

Also....anybody know if it matters if you get your NOA1 before the expiration date of the visa or do they base it on when your package was postmarked?? My wife's CR-1 visa expires on April 22nd, and it looks as if they won't cash my check or send us the NOA1 until after her expiration date.

7/2/10- NOA1

2/9/11- NOA2 (transferred to Texas)

NVC

2/28/11- case number received

3/2/11- Paid AOS bill

3/5/11- Paid IV bill

3/12/11- expedite to Bogota consulate approved!!!

3/14/11- left NVC to Bogota for further processing

3/17/11- received by Bogota, emailed consulate and was told to send DS-230 and DS-2100 (packet 3)

3/18/11- packet 3 emailed to Bogota consulate, email confirmation on March 23

3/31/11- Interview date! Approved!!!!!!

July 25, 2013 - 10 year green card APPROVED!! (notification via text and email, and website updated)

July 29, 2013 - ROC approval letter received in the mail

July 31, 2013 - 10 year green card received in the mail!!!

March 24, 2014 - NOA1 date and Priority Date

March 27, 2014 - Check cleared
