So our "reminder" letter informing us it was time to submit the ROC was sent to our old address. It bounced back to USCIS and found it's way to our new address with a change of address form attached. We had already done the address change online, for my wife and I. After we sent our ROC packet, we included out "new" address and the receipt notice went to the current, correct address. Any chance the approval/RFE could end up at the old address? We are outside the one year limit for USPS to FW all mail to the new address.. what would happen in this situation? I'd imagine an unanswered RFE would end us up in removal proceedings. What is the best way to confirm that USCIS is sending mail to the correct address? Thanks for any help.

Ok, good to know. It just seems like one of those things that could happen, then you find yourself in some arbitrary mess that a phone call should solve, but instead would need to be cleared up before an immigration judge.

Hello! I did a change of address AFTER we submitted our ROC and got an RFE in our new address. I actually mispelled the town name off by a letter but gave the correct zip code but was a still a bit worried the mails won't get to the new address - but they did.

Also, I found out that my receipt # changed from the initial NOA to the RFE...not sure why (maybe due to address change?). I had to track my petition using the RFE number and not the NOA number online - which confused me a bit when I initially used the NOA number.

I would probably call USCIS and find out. Good luck! :)

ROC Journey:

4/24/13 - Submitted I-751 application

4/26/13 - I-751 officially filed

6/11/13 - Biometrics done

8/14/13 - Rec'd RFE

9/21/13 - Submitted RFE response

9/23/13 - RFE response rec'd at VSC

(about 2 months later)

11/21/13 - Service request via Tier 1 submitted

12/11/13 - Response to service request rec'd - vague info about processing times

12/12/13 - Service request via Tier 2 submitted

12/10/13 - APPROVED!!! (letter rec'd 12/14/13)

12/16/13 - 2nd Service request response rec'd

12/17/13 - Card production email/text rec'd (online case updated)!

12/24/13 - Notification rec'd via email regarding card mailed on 12/23/13 (online case updated as well)

12/26/13 - 10-yr card rec'd!

One thing I have learned on this journey:

There is no such thing as an "overkill" evidence package. Submit anything and everything you can. Who knows what will prevent you from getting an RFE.

Ah ok, I have read about moving during ROC triggering an RFE. I'll give them a call today and see where that gets me. I know it's normal, but it's a little frustrating to see cases that were received 2 months after ours being approved while we sit and wait. Thanks for the advice!

We had a similar situation where even though we had completed AR-11 online after our move more than an year ago, our "reminder" letter was initially sent to our old address (and routed back to USCIS, came to new address with an AR-11 form attached).

I called USCIS and was told to just list the correct address on the ROC forms when submitting them and fill out the AR11 form attached and mail it in as instructed on the form. I was also told that the only way to check which address was on file (currently) with our case was to make an infopass appointment with a local office and check in person (which we were not going to do).

We had the correct address listed on all forms and mailed in the AR11 form again just to be safe. From then on we received NOA letters, approval letter, GC all at our current address. Hope this helps, good luck!

Awesome, good to hear. Thank you. I think after this is all over with I want to check in periodically to help out people going through the process. I know this is an easy one as far as immigration goes, but (as you know) when it's deals with your significant others ability to remain with you, anything and everything involved is pretty stressful.

How do I add myself to the list?

Hi Tunc, I checked your VJ Timeline and it looks like your NOA date is on May. So, you may want to join May list?

I was going to say! There hasn't been too much activity on this one for a week...

I'm waiting to submit my RFE response - still waiting for another key evidence to come in the mail (it's taking too long) - otherwise nothing from me either...

Looks like the centers are backed up as I see several who submitted in months after us being moved around a bit...so I don't know if they have put a "pause" on some of us...

Guys, are you all approved that it's so silent here?

Huh, that's so weird...68% of May filers to CSC have been approved..? April filers only 65%...either that or some of us just never came back to update.

welp, mine was approved august 29th, i already called and talked to a level 2 agent twice. updated my new address. still, i can't track anything about my new card. it hasn't been printed. when may filers already got theirs. i am a little upset that the level 2 agent i spoke today was a little rude. i just told her about it and said, well, my new employer would probably wanna see the new GC (and some of them don't accept uscis letter) i just have to try and bring all sorts of letter and my expired GC.
