yeah...pretty ridiculous to want every page of all bank statements from 2011 to 2013, but I guess that is what I am going to do. I will kill a whole tree in the process, I doubt these 200 pages will fit in the little RFE envelope they gave us

Yes, that is the reason for the RFE. A lot of other people have had that happen to them too. They don't necessarily want every single page, but they definitely want to see every page that lists transactions - money coming in and out of the account. They want to establish that you didn't just set up a bank account with a minimal amount in it in both names and never used it, because people have done that sort of stuff before to evade immigration.

Give them what they want (and yes, it will likely have to be a big amount of paperwork) and you'll get approved within weeks

Hi Everyone, Thank you always for your help,

Well, my green card has been issued and should have been delivered to my home in the States. My friend is going to check my mail again today since I am in japan on vacation. (I hope she has already found it!!)

So my question is that I am in Japan until the end of this month. I wonder if I will be in a trouble if I go back to the States without a new green card? I didn't expect it would be issued that quick (it's good thing though!). I have a passport, an expired green card and original NOA1. I do not feel comfortable to ask my friend to mail my new green card to Japan.. you know we don't know what would happen with an international mail.

What do you think, everyone?

i just received an email from USCIS!! How do i get a tracking #? yayyyyy

On August 13, 2013, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

I doubt you will have a problem with the expired green card + original NOA1. I would advise against having your friend mail you the new green card to Japan, as a lot of things could go wrong and you don't want to risk losing such an important document. However, you can have her mail you the approval letter, and maybe scan and email you a copy of the new green card (which you would then print out), if you wanted to carry these with you to show that your new card was approved and issued while you were gone. Though you should be fine with just the expired green card + original extension letter.

You should get another email/text update (whatever you've signed up for) saying your card has been mailed. Then there should be another update with the tracking number, however I myself never got the tracking # update, so it can be hit and miss. But I did get my new card 2 days after I got the update that it had been mailed (they mail it Priority, which only takes 2-3 business days), I just didn't have a number to track it. But oh well... What I'm trying to say is, don't get too worried if you don't get all the updates, because not everyone gets everything, it seems like. Your card will still be on its way to you

My application was approved yesterday, August 12. I actually had a notification of an address change, and when I contacted them today, it would seem they fixed a spelling mistake. Online doesnt show as approved by USCIS stated it was,
