Hi All, Just wanted to start a I-751 April 2013 filing thread.. Its the first of the month, and its no April fools day for us.. I just mailed the ROC package today and wanted to get this thread star

hey, that's great, congrats for all approvals! that's much sooner than expected! I was wondering, does everyone get a text and an email?

Not automatically. You have to go to USCIS' website and sign up for an online account.

Then you have to opt in for either email updates or text updates or both, and that's how you will get them. If you don't do the above, there will be no text/email updates and you will only know once the approval letter (or - touch wood! - an RFE) arrives in the mail. That being said, I got approved on Thursday and received my approval letter on Monday, so even if I didn't have the updates, I'd have found out pretty soon regardless.

Speaking of, I got a text and email update today that my new card has been mailed, so hopefully it will be here soon. The update still said it can take up to 30 days though rolleyes.gif

So.. I tore apart all the papers I have... went through both cars... and I'm freaking out because I can't find it anywhere... and my husband goes "Oh, it might be in my passport."

Guess where it was?

Can I throw something at him now? :|

Either way, we're still set on initial review. Hopefully we get an approval soon, too. :)

FYI: I put in my receipt number on the USCIS site and looks like they already mailed my new card and it should be delivered to me on Saturday August 3rd via Priority mail.

So total time from day they received it to day I will get my card will be exactly 110 days.

Also, I didn't do an early bio. I never thought it made a difference to do an early bio... and this confirms it.

Congrats vsnano, another VSC approval! Updating list.

Re early biometrics: I think most people do it because the appointment originally assigned to them is not convenient for them, so they prefer to do a walk in at a more convenient time. The process is quite unpredictable, so I don't think anyone thinks doing an early bio would speed things up for them smile.png
