We went and got my husband's biometrics done on 6/12 as scheduled (arrived an hour early, in and out in 30 min).

Guess it's months of waiting and hoping for no RFEs now. Good luck everyone!

Eligible to submit I - 751 on 4/25/2013 (GC expiring on 7/25/2013)

Mailed out I-751 on 4/27/13

i-751 arrived at Vermont Center on 4/29/13

Check cleared on 5/10/13

Biometrics appointment letter received on 5/18/13

Biometrics appointment date 6/12/13

Received NOA (1 year extension letter) issued on 5/17/13

Completed biometrics appointment 6/12/13

Well, apparently CSC is now speeding up. It looks like they have updated the processing time to "6 months" on the USCIS website, as has VSC.

While there are still people in the November-December '12 threads that are yet to be approved, this news is very encouraging, I think. And while we still have some time to go before we hit our 6 month mark, we can be hopeful that, if they keep this up in the coming months, many of us could be hearing back as early as October (or even September if we're very lucky, since a few January '13 filers have already been approved on both Service Centers) smile.png

Aug 2, 2010 - I-130 package mailed to the London Consulate (DCF)
Aug 9, 2010 - NOA1 (confirmation of receipt) via email

Hi All, been really busy lately too and didn't update my bio appointment, it happened on 5/31 and took maybe 25 minutes tops. Also noticed that CSC updated the processing times to 6 months which is definitely good news! good.gif Fingers crossed wink.png

Hey everyone

So my Greencard expires in 4 days! cray5ol.gifI already had my biometrics appointment and now I'm just waiting for my new greencard which I'm sure will take a long time!. My wife and I are planning a trip to Spain and France in October, but I'm a bit worried about leaving the country. What do I need to bring with me since my greencard is expired? Will I have any issues entering the country?

Both Service Centers seem to be taking a shorter time now, so if you filed in April, it is conceivable that you could be approved before your trip, and with a little luck, have the new GC in hand before you go. Still, it would be cutting it a bit tight though.

If not, you are going to need to bring your expired green card, the original NOA1 letter (NOT a copy - that will cause issues, be sure you carry the original one) plus of course your valid passport. With these 3 you should have no issue re-entering the country.

I can see mine. Maybe try again in a little bit or tomorrow?

Also, just making sure - are you using the receipt number that was on the bio appointment letter? The one on the NOA1 is not valid, so it will give you an error message if used on the USCIS website.

Hi , i just updated my biometric app but i forgot what day i recieved it , anyways i recieved 2 biometric appointments bcz i sent i90 and i751 , if you wonder why i sent the i90 , it was bcz i entered to USA after 2 yrs of mariage and i tought i was eligible for 10 yrs not 2 , they addmit i was eligible for 10 yrs but they denied the i90 bcz it was less than 90 days to apply for i751 anyways . now i'm waiting on my i751 decision . good luck for everybody

Though I saw today that there was one CSC approval with a NOA date March 25, 2013 ohmy.png as well as a VSC approval with a filing date of March 21, which was quite startling ohmy.png

Also, 5 CSC approvals for Feb '13 filers ohmy.png , but no VSC February approvals ohmy.png .

The way USCIS processes petitions seems to be way random. There's still VJ filers from October, November, December, January waiting to hear back. So go figure wacko.png

So who knows, some of us may actually hear back in a month or two...it is so random.

As for me though, I'm going back home on vacation mid August to mid September, so if I get an RFE while gone, it will have to wait until after I'm back. At least they give you 3 months to respond. Hubby is not coming with me this time, so he will be here checking the mail, but if we do get an RFE I don't trust him to put it all together by himself laughing.gif

I'm a control freak this way, so I will want to put the evidence together with my own hands laughing.gif
