Hey everyone, I went in today and got my biometrics done early. It was no problem, they let me right in. For a moment, they were'nt happy that I was using my drivers license instead of my residency card. However, the notice clearly said that either would be fine. It took them one minute to look at it and let me through. I was in and out in under 30 mins. They seem to welcome early comers as long as you get there early in the day.

Good to hear everything went well. Same thing happened to me, too. They asked to see my resident card after showing them my driver license. Not sure why they specifically want to see GC when the notice lists several types of ID's as acceptable proof of identity.

Received my letter for biometrics for 6/12/13 (about a week after receiving NOA) but been very busy the past few weeks and been unable to post.

Traveling for a week but will try to do an early biometric appointment for 6/11 (traveling to the UK in July and the British need me to do a biometric as part of the visa process - so my UK biometric is on 6/11 a day before my GC biometirc. Hope they let me kill 2 birds with one stone!)

12/4/10 - Married
03/9/11 - AOS package sent via USPS
03/10/11 - AOS package received by USCIS
03/14/11 - Email and Text notification received from USCIS
03/14/11 - Checks cashed by USCIS (got notification from bank on 03/15/11)
03/18/11 - NOA1 received in the mail (all four of them)
03/26/11 - Biometrics received for 04/20 (postmarked 03/23)
04/20/11 - Biometrics done today!
05/09/11 - Got my EAD in the mail today!!!
05/16/11 - Interview letter received for 06/20!!!
06/20/11 - Interview done, APPROVED! 2 year Green Card!

4/27/13 - I-751 Package for ROC mailed

4/29/13 - I-751 Package delivered by USPS to VSC

Updating Dobolo's bio. You shouldn't have a problem doing an early bio, it just depends on how far apart the two places you need to be at are (the UK biometrics place - British Embassy?, and your local USCIS office for the ROC biometrics). Let us know if you end up doing an early bio, so that we can update the list accordingly.

Did a one day early walk-in (really we just forgot it was supposed to be tomorrow and not today - oops). They had 8 people waiting in line and told us to come back later in the afternoon. Stepped out to do some shopping nearby, came back and had it done.

I filled at the end of April and got all the letters they usually send (year extension and biometrics appointment), but I noticed one thing. When I filled, I forgot to attach a list of previous addresses where I lived since I became a resident.

They never mailed me about the subject and I didn't recieve my whole package back (like it usually happens when you forget something or when something goes wrong with your application).

Should I be worried? My biometrics is happening on Thursday.

You will probably receive an RFE about this when your case is adjudicated in 6-8 months from filing. Or it may fall off their radar and not send an RFE at all. Either case you'll have to wait and see what happens, but I don't see any reason to worry.

I would suggest you call 1 (800) number and let them know how can you communicate with USCIS about this. If a phone call would work for you, it's definitely better than getting RFE that will drag your case 2/3 months further more.

I would suggest you call 1 (800) number and let them know how can you communicate with USCIS about this. If a phone call would work for you, it's definitely better than getting RFE that will drag your case 2/3 months further more.

Thank you guys for the help. I did call them and they told me to write a cover letter to the office on which I applied (which would be the California one) explaining the situation and attach the forgetten list of addresses to it.

She told me to put all details, aside of my name and address, also the receipt number. If anyone else is interested, I can attatch the letter so if this happens to anyone else, it can be used as an example.

DNIEPU, when I get home from work I'll confirm all the dates and will definitely add myself to the tracking list. Thank you for telling me about it. :)

hi everyone. been busy lately that's why im just able to update now. I did my early bio last 05/24 since its an hour drive away from us and we were going to the area that time so i thought of trying. it just took me about 15 mins in there. the guard said good thing we're not busy or i wouldn't be able to accommodate you. well, i sure was lucky! smile.png so i guess it's all waiting now. just hoping for no RFE and faster processing. whistling.gif good luck to all of us!

Was able to do an early biometric - one day early smile.png on 6/11 (my appointment was for 6/12)

To clarify Christi, the UK biometrics are handled by USCIC at the ASCs as well. So i had the UK one scheduled for 6/11. I just took along my biometric appt letter and asked if I could do both.After checking in with a supervisor, I was given the go-ahead. Very grateful for that (avoided the inconvenience of having to go there 2 days in a row)

On a side note with regards to the conversation above about them wanting to see your GC during the biometric appointment, I found that very odd. While i was waiting for my appointment, 2 ladies were turned back because they had their drivers licenses and they were asked to go bring their GCs BUT the letter specifically says that any form of ID (GC, DL or Passport) is fine (i had to refer to it again when i saw what happened). I usually take my GC to avoid any confusion or worries.

Went to get my biometrics done on Tuesday 6/11/13 as scheduled but arrived more than 30 mins early and got done before my scheduled time. There was practically no one at the ASC. The biometrics appointment notice never mentioned a requirement to bring the GC but I did and I'm glad I did because the person signing me in asked me for it.

I have a rule of thumb that even if the USCIS people never specifically request for something, bring everything - just in case. You never know what's going to happen. I even brought my NOA!

Everything else went well :) I was in and out in within 20 mins (had to fill out an application form and wait).

ROC Journey:

4/24/13 - Submitted I-751 application

4/26/13 - I-751 officially filed

6/11/13 - Biometrics done

8/14/13 - Rec'd RFE

9/21/13 - Submitted RFE response

9/23/13 - RFE response rec'd at VSC

(about 2 months later)

11/21/13 - Service request via Tier 1 submitted

12/11/13 - Response to service request rec'd - vague info about processing times

12/12/13 - Service request via Tier 2 submitted

12/10/13 - APPROVED!!! (letter rec'd 12/14/13)

12/16/13 - 2nd Service request response rec'd

12/17/13 - Card production email/text rec'd (online case updated)!

12/24/13 - Notification rec'd via email regarding card mailed on 12/23/13 (online case updated as well)

12/26/13 - 10-yr card rec'd!

One thing I have learned on this journey:

There is no such thing as an "overkill" evidence package. Submit anything and everything you can. Who knows what will prevent you from getting an RFE.
