I've just got my biometric appointment letter today.

The appointment date is June 10.

The bio letter came 5 days after I received NOA 1.

I am glad that my bio appointment is set before I leave for Japan in late June!

Pheww now I do't have to cancel my plane tickets and enjoy summer!

Hello, I have received Biometric Appt Data letter today. :)) My Bio appt is 6/3/2013.dancin5hr.gif Please update. Thank you so much for all of your support, everyone. rose.gif

Now, I am planning on going back to japan for summer since my husband is deployed... just wondering what I should do if I received a letter for an interview while I am in Japan though...

Yeah, but one problem is that while I am in abroad, there is nobody who checks my mails, so I don't think I will request a resuchedule especially when my husband is deployed to the middle east. I just do hpe I won't et an interview though.. Thank you again, Chris.

I would recommend to inform USCIS about your plan, deployment of your husband and the new address. I'm not 100% sure, but I think, it is our responsibility to inform USCIS about change of address and travel plan (I'm guessing you will be out of country for a while).

It's better to be careful than sorry. Once you will loose any communication (possible letters, RFEs or interviews, I hope none of us would get any, but incase) with USCIS, they will keep your case/folder aside. It's not going to be easy to have the immigration officer at USCIS to get back to your folder to re-open to continue with the case.

So, if I were you, I would call 1 (800) number and let them know the plan and ask them about how should you communicate with USCIS about this.

Also, I would signup for the case status alerts for texts and email; and check my case status online frequently.

I might sound scary a little, but I'm trying to look at the extreme side. I wish that you will just get an approval!!

Enjoy your travel with families and eat a lot of local foods there. I sure miss food from my country.
