Just received my NOA letter in the mail extending my green card for a year. NOA receipt date is 4/3. Updated list and now waiting for the biometrics letter. Glad things are moving faster than I expected , though I know that after this initial phase things will slow down for MONTHS

I haven't. I think though it doesn't show until after they send the biometrics appointment letter (that's what the NOA letter says anyway). So it may take a few extra days for it to appear. I'll start checking once I get my bio appointment letter

HELP!! Me and my husband just sent in our entire I-751 packet and left out the payment check. We are both so freaked out!! I am wondering what we should do. Should we wait to see if they just send it back? I mailed it priority (2-3 days) and I am wondering if I should overnight the check by itself with a letter explaining the situation and hope that it gets there before the packet. Does anyone have any idea what is the best thing to do??

I haven't heard about checks like that. I know most banks order them for you on the day when you open a checking account and you get the checkbook in the mail 2-3 weeks later. Not sure why your bank didn't follow that procedure, but maybe they have a different policy.

In any event, if I was you I'd do a money order just to be on the safe side

I've done plenty of money orders through the Post Office and they only charge a $1.05 fee as opposed to most banks that charge in the range of $6-10. I would just double check with USCIS (call their Customer Service number) that they'd accept a money order from USPS, though I don't see why not.

They'll most likely return your package as incomplete and will not issue you a NOA until you submit a complete package. It shouldn't take long to get the package back, I would think a week or two max. Once you get the package back, you can resubmit and include the payment.

I would think the best thing to do would be to wait for the package to be returned to you and resubmit, otherwise there may be confusion and delays over your case. If in doubt, it doesn't hurt to give the USCIs helpline a ring and ask what they recommend.

Thank you , that is what I imagined. I just found a form to stop a parcel before it is delivered. Hopefully I can get them to send it back, if not, I'll just wait. I will call the hotline too just to make sure.
