hi everyone! so here we are again... :whistle: anyway, I just sent my packet last Monday, 04/22/2013 thru certified priority mail. upon checking USPS, it has already been delivered to CSC 04/23/2013. pls add me up to the list. thanks!!! Good luck to all of us!!!

The short answer is yes, you can file for citizenship 90 days prior to your 3-year anniversary of becoming a permanent resident (if filing on the basis of marriage to a US citizen). If ROC is still pending, it forces them to speed up and make a decision on your ROC application so that you can then be adjudicated for citizenship. A lot of people have taken this route.

Hopefully all of us will be approved well before the 9 month mark :P

Hey guys. I sent my husband's I-751 on Saturday 4/20 . I checked the USPS tracking number and they received it today 4/24. It was sent to the Vermont Service Center. Someone please add me to the list. Thanks and good luck to all.

No not yet.. It would be nice just to see the check cleared..

I have to fly out on the middle of June, and my GC expired 10th of May. I don't know if I should make an infopass appointment now or wait till May.

I would make the appointment just in case. It couldn't hurt, right? Worst case scenario they tell you to wait until May.

This is a very stupid question, but the NOA1 is issued automatically once receiving the application/cashing the check, right? The NOA1 automatically extends the GC while they process it. You get the letter before dealing with any potential RFEs, correct? So no matter what delays you might have to deal with, you at least have the 1 year extension letter for work and travel...

Correct! The NOA1 serves as your proof of legal status for work/travel until they get to your application months later and make a decision to approve/RFE/request interview etc.

Make the infopass appointment as CLOSE to the expiry date as you can. When we went in last week, they told us that they could extend it for us, but it has to be within a few days of it expiring, so he's going back today to get the extension.

I-751 application sent to VSC on April 1

USCIS Receipt Date was April 3

NOA1 arrived on April 6

Waiting for Bio appointment...Nothing as of April 25 :(

Look at the bright side...you are with your significant other and you have your NOA1.

7/2/10- NOA1

2/9/11- NOA2 (transferred to Texas)

NVC

2/28/11- case number received

3/2/11- Paid AOS bill

3/5/11- Paid IV bill

3/12/11- expedite to Bogota consulate approved!!!

3/14/11- left NVC to Bogota for further processing

3/17/11- received by Bogota, emailed consulate and was told to send DS-230 and DS-2100 (packet 3)

3/18/11- packet 3 emailed to Bogota consulate, email confirmation on March 23

3/31/11- Interview date! Approved!!!!!!
