I have a I-751 interview date, my application was converted to waiver from joint filing. My Attorney was initially able to make it , but now he is saying he has another urgent date and wont be available on my interview. He wants to reschedule the date. If I do, how much it will delay my case and when i will have another interview.

Or should I look for another lawyer? I am confused. Please help.

Look for another lawyer. You dont want to change the date. This would the last thing you make in your life. Yet, on the usic website they say Do not change the date unless it is very very important such as you are in ER..

If I were you I wouldnt do it. It is gonna delay and you will be still in stress. Last week I had my interview, today I got a mail that they have placed the order for the new card. So once you go to interview with you lawyer one or two weeks later you are done! So never ever, find a another lawyer... DO not change the date.. DOnt

Hi ozzyG, Thanks for your reply , really appreciate it. I am now thinking not to move the date. Mine is I-751 waiver. I am thinking to hire a attorney locally.

Can you please tell me your interview experience, was it a I-751 waiver and did you hire a lawyer?

Thanks in advance

Just so you know the lawyer can't speak for you. He is only there to point out if they are not following the law and to take notes.

Not sure how complicated your case is but you could go without a lawyer to the interview. Ours just sat there for $ 600 ....

Who says that? My interview was horrible. a nitemare. I sucked at the interview i even couldnt talk because io was an #######. do you know what he said to me? A lot of people get marry and divorce and apply for 10 year gc. i said to my self thats it. bye bye us. welcome deportation. But my lawyer talked to me for my name. he tried to explain the issues.

just relax before you go there. write a letter. how you met and how you divorced etc etc.. Because whatever you say them they dont give a ####### but once you leave they read every single document thatyou brought but you must bring a lawyer it will make the place warmer you understand what im saying. ask your friends or parents or bank get a loan you live in us we make money herr thst why we wanna stay here right?. a lawyer will charge you $1000 max but it is your life dude.. trust me if you go there with a lawyer you get your gc %99 denial rate is very low. If you need more info ask im here to help..

May I ask when you filed, and what were your NOA & biometrics dates? I would be interested to see your timeline.

Thanks!

I have applied on December 2011 and a month later I went to biometrics. It took almost 13 months to get the into the interview. I called them why is this taking so long and they said. They only take one or max. 2 people a month for the interview. So, you may guess how many people on the line..

Hi All, I am originally Nov 2011 joint filler. But I sent waiver in nov 2012. Now interview is in mid Apr.

My Attorney has already sent the request to reschedule yesterday and it was delievered today. Now I have no choice but just wait. I am also thinking to go to local office to talk to someone and get this sorted out incase the officer doesnt recieve the letter.

I think they interview alot more than only 2 , last time i was there were 20 people in the room for interview at one time.

They interview a lot of people a day. I would guess at least 50 , they have multiple IO working at the same time and they have I think 15 minutes scheduled time for each interview
