I sent my roc packet march 18. I opened a po box as my mailing address just for this purpose because we are moving 3x. It was received march 20, check cashed march 25 but my noa1 or bio letter never came :( I am worried something is wrong. I don't know if its a uscis or usps error since the po box is new. What can I do at this point and what happens if I don't receive anything in 30 days? I don't want to lose the money or packet I sent I don't even have a case number yet. :(

My Journey:

We met through a study-abroad program in Shanghai, China in August of 2009

We got engaged March of 2010

I received my K1 VISA in 6 months (June-December 2010)

We were married 04/02/2011
I received my conditional 2-year greencard (AOS) in 2.5 months with no interview (April-June 2011)

Our son was born 02/03/2013

I received my masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology 04/17/2013

I received my 10-year greencard (ROC) in 3 months with no interview (March-June 2013)

My husband returned from deployment 06/20/2013

My naturalization journey took 4 months (April-August 2014)

I became a US citizen on 08/01/2014

Received passport in 3 weeks (regular processing)

Thank you, VJ! smile.png

Our NOA1 was dated 3 days after we sent the packet, however it easily took a week and a half for it to show up in our mailbox. It was another two weeks or so for the biometrics appointment letter to arrive. If I were in your shoes, I would wait until the end of this week, and then start making phone calls on Monday the 8th, but that's just me :) I hope it shows up for you today! Both of them! :)

Give it a little more time. It can take up to 10 days after check cashing for the NOA 1 to arrive. Hopefully this week you will receive something.

first, you can call uscis and ask to talk to a IO. on your 1-751 application, did you put your p.o. box number on the application? sometimes with a new p.o. box number, it takes a little while for the post office start sending your mail to the p.o. box number. also, did you filled out a change of address card with the post office. if you didn't do it, go at once to your post office to filled out a change of address card. if you already filled it out, it will take just a little while for your mail to come to your p.o. box number. good luck.

also talk to the supervisior at the post office and asked him to check in their backroom for any mail that is waiting to be put in your p.o. box number.

I didn't fill out a change of address with the post office because I'm still receiving mail at my regular address. From what I was told you are allowed to receive mail in a Po box and your regular address. I called the post office and they said that my po box was good to go

as long as you put your po box number on your 1-751 application where it says MAILING ADDRESS, you will be ok. for some reason, where members ASC is in philadelphia, everything is taking longer. VERMONT SERVICE CENTER is taking longer to received everything. give it a couple more days then you should call USCIS again and speak to a IO.

i have called uscis again about my wife not getting her appointment for her 1-751 fingerprints. i have spoken to a IO and what she did was put in a request to the philadelphia ASC to speed up the fingerprints appointment. IO said that my wife will received her appointment notice within 15 dayd. she also told me that the philadelphia ASC is really behind. i hope this helps you becaused your ASC is also in philadelphia. good luck to you and i hope you also get it real soon.
