You mean, your husband sent I–130 Dec of 2011, and received NOA1 July 2012?..hmmmm..Its the first time i heard about noa1 that took 6months.

Anyway, if you are asking why it took so long for your NOA2 to arrive, no one can answer that. Even USCIS will not tell you the exact reason except "still in process" mostly. And if you are asking somebody to help you speed up the process, you can tell your husband to contact his senator or congressman about it but it does not always guarantee that it will speed up the process.

I-130 Submitted ---- 09/16/2011

NOA 1 ---- 09/21/2011

I-130 Approved ------ 04/30/2013

NVC Case Number -- 05/14/2013

Medical Exam ------ 05/28/2013

Case Complete ------- 08/06/2013

Interview -------- 09/09/2013

Visa Arrived ---------- 10/17/2013

POE SFO ------------- 10/21/2013

Delays maybe inevitable, but misery is optional!

VSC is only past June 4th priority dates, according to the website. So, you probably have one more month to wait.

Why on earth would your NOA1 be almost six months after USCIS received your petition?

USCIS: 307 days from NOA1 to NOA2 (no RFE's)

15JUN2012 USC married in Côte d'Ivoire
13AUG2012 I-130 sent by FedEx to Chicago
15AUG2012 I-130 packet delivered to mailroom, per FedEx.com
18AUG2012 NOA1, rcvd SMS & email saying case is routed to Vermont Service Center, later rcvd by snail mail
21AUG2012 the date on next I-797C received only by snail mail, says petition transferred to Lee's Summit,MO
28AUG2012 "touch" (website shows case was updated)
03OCT2012 the date casefile was sent to Atlanta, per phone call with ISO
01FEB2013 infopass at Atlanta, casefile has not even been assigned to anyone yet!

21JUN2013 NOA2, email received! USCIS website is updated! No SMS was received.

Letter rcvd later by snail mail from NBC, Lee's Summit, MO; however, I know file was adjudicated in Atlanta.

NVC:

11JUL2013 the date NVC says they received our file

19JUL2013 called and got Case # and IIN #, gave email addresses

22JUL2013 received DS-3032 and AOS invoice by email, mailed DS-3032

Closer to 4 months of waiting at the rate VSC is going.

what do you mean by it is taking so long because he petitioned your daughter? when did he petition her? You are still within normal processing time if it has been 238 days. Your post is very confusing

You mean, you were married Nov. 28, 2011, then ur husband submitted that I–130 on Dec. 20, 2012, for you and your child from your previous relationship. Your husband received NOA1 last July 6, 2012 and until now you are waiting for NOA2?, right???...

And your asking that the reason might be, because you included your child in the petition?..

Your petition is still on the normal processing, so don't worry and i don't think it has something to do with ur daughter's

Some people were approved faster, as in like 2 months or less if you are lucky enough. VJ are just estimating the timelines based on members input and also on the USCIS processing times plus to which service center the petition goes..

It took 16 months for me til USCIS touched my papers, and we received RFE..

You are still in the normal processing time so don't stress yourself..Keep it until you waited like 10 months, then start to get pissed and frustrated..Goodluck!
