Please be advised that the National Visa

Center (NVC) contacted U.S. Citizenship

and Immigration Service (USCIS) to

locate your approved petition. USCIS has

informed the NVC, that your petition will

be en route to the NVC shortly. Please

allow ample time for file transfer. Once

we have received your petition, the

appropriate agent will receive further

instructions within 6 to 8 weeks.

It means they have not even sent it yet. It's probably in the box waiting to be shipped with this month's batch. But it's not lost and they know where it is.

If the stuff you sent in was sufficient, I dont see any reason to update.

Thanks. I just asked because after reading through the board, some members were asked to present a signed copy of the I-864 at the interview rather than a photocopy.

Just got an RFE today for the W2 even though I have already shown that I did not work in the States throughout 2012 hence I do not have any W2 :(.

Can I just send an explanation letter to them with the checklist or can I call them to explain to them to solve this RFE without sending in anything ? Do any of you have any experiences with dealing with RFE simply by calling instead of mailing in ?

If you did not work in the states and didn't have w2 meaning that mean you didn't filed income taxes for 2012, it also mean your income will stop when or your wife arrived in USA (burden!!!). What did you check on the I-864? employed or self employed. This is crutial part and must be filled out correctly.

My understanding would be, if you are already sending the signed copy of I-864 to NVC and they accept it. NVC will forward this to Embassy.

I don't see the point other than to take photocopies of civil documents so that you can have your originals back. (But as a precautionary measure good idea to take photocopies of all documents.)

Hello everyone! NVC received our papers at last after 55 days from approval. We waited so long for this and thank God finally. We got already our case number the other day and now waiting for AOS bill. I already sent the DS-3032 via email. I am the beneficiary. I also sent an expedite request due to my husband's health condition and it is still under review. I have questions to ask. My husband filed his income tax return last month via snail mail and he called the IRS today to order for a recent transcript and they don't have his record yet. Is it okay to send the AOS packet without the transcript yet? but he has w2, form 1040,recent pay stubs and letter of employment. We will have a co-sponsor and he can provide the ITR for the past 3 yrs and other reqts. My husband didnot file ITR since 2007-2011 for he was unemployed. Do you think, we will have problems on him not filing? but he has a permanent job since aug 2012. Thank you very much for your answers.

I am also in the same page 38 days and waiting. Can you please advise if your I-130 was processed by National Benefits center?

I am also waiting an answer from NVCResearch. It is awful to wait when it is already approved.

AOS shows PAID now. Thanks, all! I've pretty much completed the DS-260. I'm just going to review it tonight or tomorrow before I submit it.

What is needed in the IV package?

Generally, the following is needed:

- Bar-coded cover sheet from payment portal

- Completed, signed, and dated DS-230 form by beneficiary (do NOT sign or date part 2; this is done at the interview) [note: if doing online forms (DS-260), the DS-230 is obviously not needed]

- Two passport-style photographs (2" x 2") of beneficiary (on the back, write: beneficiary's full name, date of birth, and case number)

- Copy of bio-data page of beneficiary's unexpired passport

- Original or Certified Copy of beneficiary's birth certificate, PLUS A PHOTOCOPY

- Original or Certified Copy of marriage certificate, PLUS A PHOTOCOPY

- Original police certificate(s)

Please read: http://travel.state..../info_3195.html for additional documents if applicable.

Do you send in photocopies of the 2 photos that are supposed to be included in the IV packet when doing electronic filing?

I sent copies in the iv package but they will send you a checklist saying to bring them to the interview though.

Cool. Thanks.

Walmart stamped them. Are they supposed to do that?

I am very concerned about the fact the 2 Boston bombers were immigrants, this reminds me of 9/11 when ALL applications were put into Administrative Processing, regardless of nationality etc.
