Actually, should I even be submitting the DS-260? I have a lot of educational institutions and employers and on top of that when it comes to the number of times I've been the US I have to write an explanation that I've been to the US so many times I can't list them all and would never know the number of times. But in the past x years I've visited y times. And then I would list those times as shown in my passport and as far as my holiday schedule at work tells.

it seems weird, aye?

I suggest a continuation sheet added in with the emailed civil documents.

Is Packet3 Supplemental Information Sheet something that's specific just for those from China?

I am going through my many files (trying to reduce them) with instructions on the steps, and in one I had that listed for the DS-230 stage. I don't remember where I read about it, but this was early on when I was just gathering tons of new info about this strange process.

each embassy/consulate IV unit has their own specific requirements. That GUZ IV P3 supplemental form is specific for China, you betcha.

Are you doing EP at NVC? What country with the beneficiary be interviewed in ? TIA !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

I think Eliano said........"Apparently the secretary of immigration lawyer...." and not actual lawyer him/her making the mistake so this will be like pointing fingers game.

whilst Eliano actually wrote that,

it's the lawyer's signature on the G-28, not the secretary's.

So it's lawyer that's liable, not the secretary.

Sorry.

So, I paid the AOS bill on Saturday, but it still shows IN PROCESS. I paid the IV bill on Tuesday and today it shows PAID. Does anyone know how long it takes for the AOS to show PAID? I just want to make sure that this isn't an error and that sometimes it takes a while. It hasn't been a week so I'm probably jumping the gun. It's just that most timelines show that their AOS fees showed up PAID within 3 business days or earlier.

It can sometimes take awhile. If it doesn't clear by Monday, then call them up and inquire.

You can still email the AOS package though if you wish. By the time they get to the package, the payment should be cleared.

We did call USCIS and spoke to a Tier 2 rep but they said there was no indication the file left VSC. I dont think they could give us anymore information regarding our file. My status went from Post Decision Activity (March 25th) back to Initial Review (April 2nd) which just does not make any sense. We have the NOA2 hard copy. Just feels like theres nothing you can do when USCIS and NVC dont seem to know whats going on with your file.

If anyone has any suggestions it would be very helpful! Thanks

Don't just call once. Keep calling and asking for a Tier 2 until someone gives you good information. Don't bother with NVC yet until you hear your case has been sent.

Ugh, I had a feeling they kept track of the calls  I already called this morning, and again no case complete yet, and I was thinking that I would call again later this evening.... but maybe I will just wait until tomorrow instead

Don't worry about calling twice in one day. It's only excessive if you're calling like once every hour or something. Twice a day is fine in my opinion.

Hi ,

We received approval for our case from NVC on april 9 and it has been forwarded to indian consulate ( i think new delhi) . So wondering when our interview might get scheduled .

So anybody who have got their interview scheduled recently at new delhi , let me know the NVC approval date and interview schedule date currently being given at new delhi US consulate.

Thanks

Your timeline isn't filled out, but your profile says F3. This thread (and forum actually) is specific for IR-1/CR-1 applicants and derivatives. You should be looking in this forum instead: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/111-bringing-family-members-of-us-citizens-to-america/

We are not doing electronic processing. I will be mailing to NVC the IV packet, with all the documents, for my mom. She will be have the interview in Bosnia (Sarajevo). Here is the embassy web site there.

http://sarajevo.usembassy.gov/immigrant-visas.html

There is nothing about "Supplemental Information Sheet" on that web site, and their instructions are more geared toward K-1 visas, or are just old, saying that documents are returned there, where I have their written confirmation that document intake is at NVC.

Thank you!

When completing the DS-260, where it shows the location of the places I've worked and gone to school, do I put the full address under location or just the city, province, and country?

I'm not at home right now where my saved visa files are, but I believe I just put city, province, and country, but I can't say 100% sure. Does it not specify on the form if the full address is needed or not?

Is Packet3 Supplemental Information Sheet something that's specific just for those from China?

For Canada, it's required to do online forms. And one bonus on the DS-260 over the DS-230 is that it only asks for the last FIVE visits to the US. Simplifies things a LOT for us Canadians who visit the US frequently since birth.

For employers, someone mentioned recently that they're only asking for your CURRENT employer and that's it. Even if they do ask for more than just current, like with schools, there's an option to add another school/employer. That's what I did. This isn't like the DS-230 where you're restricted to just a few lines. The DS-260 gives you a bit more flexibility, so no continuation sheets are needed, like with the DS-230.

ya, the GUZ IV P3 Supplemental form is mentioned when studying the 'extra sheet' for Guangzhou, listed at

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3830.html

When I study the one for Sarajevo, over at http://travel.state.gov/pdf/pk3_supplements/SAR-PKT3-BOS-0802.pdf I not see anything extra to add in, and in fact this stupid 2001 form is listed, and not even needed when doc intake is done at NVC.

So, no EP on you, no extra forms, yer good ! Yay !

Good Luck, and Go Get Em !

It didn't even ask me for previous education just current and I'm not currently in school. Now I'm worried that I answered it wrong! Gonna look when I get home?

They probably changed it again from when I filled it out. They asked me for all employers and all secondary schools. It's looking like as of a few months now, they're only asking for current employer and/or school.
