My husband was just notified that the NVC received our DS-3032 sent on the 8th. The IV fee bill has not yet been generated.

I'm a dual US/Hungarian citizen (both by birth; Hungarian citizenship verification TBA), and my husband is a dual British/Irish citizen (by treaty) from Northern Ireland. We are atheists.

Can anyone confirm the number of passport pictures we need to get for the NVC (or is it the Embassy?!), please?

This may be country specific, but I thought we are supposed to submit two photos for the medical as well. Can someone please correct me if that's wrong.

How do you get the checklists? Are they typically emailed? I am very impatient, so I want to take my mind off of this a bit, and not go crazy calling NVC. Everything is in their hands at this point, and I want to just relax and wait for an email. Otherwise, I will start harrassing them around next Friday. No way will I wait for snail mail. What happens after the verbal case complete. Can we call up the embassy and harrass them for a speedy interview date?

If you gave over both email addresses when the case number was first assigned, then all correspondence is sent by email.

Once you have a case complete, the case is put into queue for an interview date to be assigned. The embassy doesn't schedule it, NVC does. And there's no point in harassing them. You're in a queue and when it comes to your time, they'll issue you a checklist.

Take a deep breath and practice some patience.

My husband was just notified that the NVC received our DS-3032 sent on the 8th. The IV fee bill has not yet been generated.

Once the DS-3032 has been accepted and added to the case file, the IV is typically invoiced within 1-3 days on average.

For NVC, it's 2 photos. For the medical and interview, that's country-specific. For Canada for example, it's 3 photos for the medical and 2 for the interview.

Thanks, Saylin, I appreciate the clarification. We weren't sure exactly. :)

It could still be invoiced today though, so keep an eye on the payment portal ;)

That's usually not what the false checklist says, but it still sounds like one. But, since you received one already, this is a little weird. Have you called up today and asked about the status on the IV package?

Thanks for the response. Thats exactly what I meant though. Im hoping for no checklists, so Im going to try to not call them up. I shouldn't have used the word harassing though, I just meant calling them repetitively. I plan to use the false checklists as signs of acceptance, and just relax until after those. Im going to take this off my mind for a bit, and try to focus on something else. There's nothing I can do but be patient. Ive had no choice but to learn that throughout this process. No one teaches patience like uscis.

My suggestion still stands. Call them up. Today. Don't go off based what they said yesterday. A whole lot could have changed between yesterday and today.

Nope, they still need to be in US format. You're still dealing with US agencies.

Dear VJ members,

I have received the following checklist for my two minor kids:

Checklist for I-864W (filed by [petitioners' name] )

The NVC has reviewed the financial evidence submitted. However, additional information is

required to complete the financial evidence review. Please provide all requested documents and

refer to page two for mailing instructions.

What should i do? Does it mean that my child will automatically become a US citizen once he enters US with immigrant visa ?

ps: my child has born in 2011 when i was a green card holder. Then in 2012, i become a US citizen.

I have sent them a separate i-864 form for my minor child, as well as for spouse.

I just received this checklist for my minor child.

When i called NVC today, i have been told that as a US citizen and parent of child, i should fill and sent i-864W for exception.

Please, help to clarify this issue.

Hate you? Their customer service is not based on whether or not they like you. Call them as often as you need to to get the information you need to get.
