yea of course the wait is worth it.. but my life is on a stand still and im going to be honest trips to Cuba are well near the 500's round trip its expansive! it isnt like other country's were its like 200 i wish!! i would go once a month... so its kinda hard to sit here and wait ive been waiting since September when i got married.. if i knew this would take this long from the start i would have never gone forward with this its hard im 21 so i guess my immaturity has some kind of role in it :bonk:

Dude it costs us like $600+ for me to travel to Denver! Rofl. You need to learn some patience and relax. We all want to see our spouse's and live with them. It'll come. Look towards your future together and realize, what is this period of time when compared to a lifetime. It's a drop in a bucket. :)

I pay between $900 and $1500 for a flight to see my husband. Take a 3 hour train ride from my home to the airport. Then spend half the day there. A 11 hour flight then a 3 hour trip from the air port to his home. If it was only $500 and a hop skip and a jump away I would find a ways to go every other month.

I'm not judging we all have different lives and are in different places in our lives...

It'd be so nice to have a regular boat service , ferryish, between Cuba and the USA.

that would never happen being born Cuban (me) means one thing: your families and your love ones will be split no matter what because if you have different views about the government they kick you out which is what they did with my family :crying:

This ISO also started to say that it was shipped, but when he said "probably" on the 4th, a day after NOA2, I asked him to confirm that that's when it was shipped. He then acknowledged that they "don't have that depth of information". I even asked could it be that he can't see it in the system because it didn't ship, and once it is that it will show up in the system, but he insisted that the date on when the case leaves USCIS does not get entered into the system.

So, it seems I just need to talk to several ISOs before I get one that knows what they are talking about.

Did your ISOs tell you when it was shipped, or just that it was shipped? I wonder if one needs to do a service request to find that information out (that actual date).

All the ISO claimed it shipped on 2/8 but it didn't . Some will tell you they have 30 days to ship it..... which is true. So some will not help you till after 30 days. It seems that local offices are shipping approved files back to the NBC and these are getting batched shipped to the NVC. I have read this posted a few times. I don't know if you will get any help from the USCIS before 30 days. Once you are past 2 weeks you can email a copy of your NOA2 to the NVC to look into it. I did that also and got all my answers weeks after I already new. So it's up to you what to do. You have to do what you need to give yourself peace.

I called NVC yesterday and they told me the IV package has been reviewed and is completed and accepted. However, I received an email today- a Checklist. This is what it reads:

"______10 - PASSPORT POLICE CERTIFICATE:____________________________

Indian Police Clearance Certificates should be obtained as follows:

•All Indian IV applicants aged 16 and above, residing in India, should obtain police

certificates from the local Passport Office.

•Indian passport holders applying for visas outside India should obtain a statement from their

local embassy or consulate confirming they have no criminal record.

•Non-Indian IV applicants residing in India should obtain police certificates from the District

Police Station serving their area of residence.

•Indian police certificates are not available for foreign (non-Indian) applicants applying

outside India."

What does this mean?? Is this a false checklist?? This is for my husband in India who submitted the IV package.

I got an email saying that they received the IV package and are waiting for my AOS (which I already mailed and they should get it by tomorrow).

Please help! I thought the IV was accepted according to the the lady whom I spoke to yesterday. :bonk:

I'm feeling a bit confused at this moment!

I paid the AOS fee by money order and when I login to the payment portal it says PAID but I am not able to print out any receipts or cover sheets. I've read in other posts that have been dated between 2006-2010 that if we pay through money order we cannot print it online and have to wait for snail mail to come in, is that still the case? I ask because I called NVC and they told me since I am EP I don't have to print out anything on portal and I can just email the I-864 form but looking at Saylin's Wiki EP it says that I have to print it out and email it with the documents.

Saylin, what do you think? Shouldn't I get an email from NVC informing me that my AOS fee has been received?

Thanks!

If you're doing EP, you don't need the bar-coded cover sheets. So, if the bill is showing as PAID and you've been accepted into the EP program, you can email your package.

yay! I got my NVC case number and my IIN (by calling, did not receive email).. and I just sent out my DS3032 email... AOS bill has not yet been invoiced.. hopefully soon :)

Grats!

I did talk to Tier 2 (ISO).

I didn't give Tier 1 (CSR) much chance to waste our time!

laughing.gif Smart! Well, try calling back anyway and speak with Tier 2s again.

Saylin....you should updated your thread on Post #1 "...be polite when asking questions or receiving answers." and that's what most people are missing.

I thought it was a given to be polite, so I didn't include it ;)

Saylin,

I called yesterday regarding missing birth certificate. Spoke to supervisor and mentioned that i had sent in a baptism certificate and will bring birth certificate to interview. He said that they will review the documents again and call me to let me know the decision. Should I wait to hear from them or call again today?

Thanks for your help

You can call back today and inquire how the review is going. If you don't hear anything back by tomorrow afternoon, call again, but this time request to speak with a supervisor again and see if they can tell you as they have more access/information than operators.

yea of course the wait is worth it.. but my life is on a stand still and im going to be honest trips to Cuba are well near the 500's round trip its expansive! it isnt like other country's were its like 200 i wish!! i would go once a month... so its kinda hard to sit here and wait ive been waiting since September when i got married.. if i knew this would take this long from the start i would have never gone forward with this its hard im 21 so i guess my immaturity has some kind of role in it :bonk:

Ouch blink.gif

And by the way, both my husband and I were 21 as well, and although it's hard, yes, we knew the end was worth it and we'd wait no matter how long if it meant we'd be together in the end.

And although it's relative to one's income/situation, $500 is incredibly cheap for a flight. I paid $1800 for a couple visits to my husband, and they only lasted 4 days each. But in my eyes, those $1800 were completely worth it if it meant I could be with my husband.

I called NVC yesterday and they told me the IV package has been reviewed and is completed and accepted. However, I received an email today- a Checklist. This is what it reads:

Checklists aren't false if they're asking for something specific. I suggest calling up NVC and inquiring about this.

Thanks Saylin! I just called NVC. And he told me that NVC doesn't need the Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) and that my husband would need to take the PCC with him at the time of his interview. I asked him again to make sure and that's what he said. I asked him if he would send the original back, and he said that the husband can just take a copy of the PCC with him to the interview. Is this correct? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hello Demra, I saw you have try others already, but try to download Firefox Mozzila during installation don't import any settings from Internet Explorer "select NO" on this part it may be something in your IE settings so don't import anything. I know you alread did donwload Adobe but did you update Adobe? if you updated Adobe it will just download patches and version remain same, try to remove Adobe and download the latest version of Adobe because this is what happening to me...older version of Adobe for some strange reason can't print or view newer saved version of Adobe. I know you may disagreed with Speedwell, but have you print something else making sure your printer settings is correct?.

I tried every possiblities that you guys have suggested but still I am getting same distorted file. Is there any other way to get it? Will NVC send the cover in my mailing address? or I have to request it? how long it will take to get it in a mail.

Everything will work out in the end and this wait will all be worth it when you have your spouse here with you. I have had to pay as much as $2,600 on a plane ticket to Uganda (approximately 30 hours of flying/waiting in airports/layovers) to make trips to Uganda, (also a third world nation) but you just have to realize that all the time, money, and waiting is worth it because soon you will have your dreams come true and then this wait won't seem so bad looking back on it. Best wishes as you finish this process with strength and patience.

2013 began CR1 process

Fast forward to:

get to a winders xp box somewhere, with IE-7 or greater, and download the file (not open in browser), saving it to a hard disk.

Once the file is downloaded, open it with latest version of FoxIt PDF reader.

Report results back.

Hey I just tried to open it again and now it gives me good one. I tried in Firefox as well as IE. In both, it's working fine. It looks like it was NVC receipt page problem. Thank you guys for ur efforts and suggestions.
