I just got off the phone with the NVC, I called to make sure they received the additional copy of my husbands birth certificate (they claimed the original wasn't certified) only to be told they had already scheduled his interview in London! Turns out they approved it before they got the second birth certificate with the condition he brings the original to the interview...so now we have to order another one. Jeez.

The man I spoke with was very nice, and even said "this is not an April Fools joke." Cute!

Here's hoping for an April case complete! :)

NVC has still not yet assigned us our new case number. Until the new number is assigned, we will not get our IV bill invoiced. :bonk:

Oh well....it's worth the wait as long as we will interview at the correct visa post.

What did they mean by not certified? We sent a second one because there was a problem with them 'finding my original' (we're not sure yet if this is because they lost it or because they didn't think it was an original - A supervisor is supposed to be re-reviewing but it's added weeks onto our timeline :( )

06/02/12 .. Got Married in Inverness, Scotland.

10/11/12 .. I-130 Sent

10/17/12 .. NOA1 date

12/20/12 .. File was transferred to my "local field office" (Baltimore)

02/05/13 .. NOA2 date

NVC:

02/11/13 .. NVC receives case

02/28/13 .. Case number assigned

03/01/13 .. DS-3032 Emailed

03/04/13 .. DS-3032 Accepted

03/04/13 .. AOS bill paid

03/08/13 .. AOS bill shown PAID

03/05/13 .. IV bill paid

03/06/13 .. IV bill shown PAID

03/06/13 .. IV Package Mailed

03/09/13 .. AOS Package Mailed

03/27/13 .. AOS packet accepted

I was just looking at the calendar and May 5th is a Sunday. I didn't know that Embassies/Consulates did interviews on Sundays....do they?Since we're assigned an interview on Sunday, I guess they do...but still curious if anyone else has any input on it. :wacko:

blink.gif Never heard of that. Maybe call NVC to make sure that's the correct date?

USC who lived in Manabí, Ecuador with hubby from 2009 - 2013. Hubby became a naturalized American citizen in August 2016. Currently living together in northern Virginia.

Question: can you pay online for the IV and I-864 bill with a visa from Canada or must the payment come from a US bank account only?

03/23/2022: Application for passport submitted at USPS facility under standard processing.

04/04/2022: Status changed to “The U.S. Department of State has received your application for your passport book on 04/04/2022. We're now reviewing your application and supporting documents...Your application locator number is 51*******.”

04/04/2022: Check for passport cashed.

05/03/2022: Status changed to "The U.S. Department of State approved your application for your passport book. We're now printing your passport book and preparing to give it to you. You should receive your passport book on or around 05/09/2022."

05/05/2022: Passport Received.

05/09/2022: SSA Citizenship Status Updated.

05/25/2022: Naturalization Certificate received in mail.

Nvc lady said received our checklist review inquiry last Friday . She said will take 10-15 business day to processs. Is that normal to take this long ?! Anybody has similar experience? I have provided them our certified and copy of certified marriage certificate. It appears they can't distinguish between two at their first review .
