I got my email NOA2 on March 31, 2013 I called NVC today, they said they just received my case, and that i should call back in 15 days?

now my question is lets say i dont call, and get my NVC case number + IIN, and i dont assign my self as the agent, what does NVC do, do they only contact the beneficiary? and not me?

please and thank you for any responses

Yeah, I say send them in, just in case.

For the interview though, try to have the transcripts for 2012. You should have enough time.

Okay. Thanks. Actually I think we want to slow the process down right now. It's only April and we want a July interview (I'm planning on visiting May 18 - Jun 18). Maybe we'll wait until her taxes have been completed and we'll send in her transcripts. This might help us slow it down a little.

If you want a July interview, then yeah, you'll need to slow down. Just wait until the tax transcript is available then. It'll benefit you for slowing down, and NVC will much appreciate a tax transcript than an entire tax return.

Grats! kicking.gif Did you give over both email addresses?

I actually received the info via email as I hadn't called them yet today. They sent the paperwork to both my email and my husband's though so I guess they had the correct email addresses already. I will call this evening to give them our email addresses and change my mailing address. (I moved between NOA2 and NVC stage)

Try it again, sometime soonish, the exact questions in that exact order.

They will do research without a service request, as the data points you are chasing after (in my questions) are actually there in front of them on their screen. For this 'research' it's a simple matter of getting to another screen.

Thanks Darnell! It's is almost 30 days and no NVC case number yet!! I am losing my patience :-).

I will give them until Monday and if they do not have case number first thing monday morning, what can I do?

- Contact USCIS (tier 2) and have them open a case request?

- Contact CSC/ local field office? infopass appointment.

- Contact USCIS Public engagement?

- Contact Congressional Liason?

Too many things to do? But which one is most effective?

This really sucks. I can't believe I am already pissed-off with NVC ( I know it could be USCIS in this case, for delaying to send the I-130 docs)

Our GUZ number has now become a GZO number, so our case is now being processed electronically. We sent the DS-3032 form in with the OPTIN email and the EP confirmation email also confirms they received the DS-3032. When should we expect the IV invoice to become available? You'd think they would want to get their money as soon as possible...

Oh well, at least things are moving... unlike the USCIS stage.
