IV documents are going to be added to the case starting today says the email I received. Now I'll wait for the AOS email and case complete. Yay.

My husband and I sent in our AOS package in September. In it, we said that we would bring along his Indian PCC at the time of his interview. They issued a checklist for it. Fastforward a few months and we were in a crazy holding pattern over his PCC (so, I guess we're happy about that checklist). We then sent in a letter from the Indian authorities saying that the PCC was on its way. We received another checklist.

Now, I saw on this thread that Saylin said (can't find the exact post) that sometimes you can request that your case be closed while you wait for your document or something to that nature. I spoke with an operator about this. She said that they automatically close your case after two months of waiting. I said that it's been more than two months, so, can you just close our case? She sorta bumbled through a response which I don't remember.

My question is, how do I go about closing my case? If I request a supervisor review, how should I word it?

I've never heard that a case is automatically closed after 2 months of waiting. That doesn't sound right to me. But yes, I've seen people request in the past for the case to be closed and the original certificate would be presented at the interview. Just request a supervisor review and politely ask for your case to be completed. Mention you'll be bringing the certificate with you to the interview. Remember, it's not guaranteed that they'll accept your request, but it's definitely worth a shot!

I sent an email to NVC asking for a supervisor review. I just got this email back: "This petition is now eligible for further processing. The petitioner, principal applicant, and/or attorney of record will receive an instruction package regarding further processing of this petition."

What does it mean? I spoke with an operator, but she was really confused and wants me to talk with a supervisor about it but the suspense is killing me.

That sounds like an email someone receives at the beginning of the process blink.gif

You don't need to send a photocopy of the DS-230. Just the original is sufficient. You only need to send photocopies of the birth and marriage certificates (and military/divorce if applicable).

Hi folks

It has been exactly two weeks since our checklist REF was delivered.

I haven't heard anything yet.

Should I call NVC in order to find out case complete?

OR wait a bit more?

Btw, Anybody who is waiting for interview date from Singapore?

Because my interview will be in US embassy singapore.

If you don't call, you're not going to find out if your package has been reviewed (and accepted). Since there's only 5 minutes left till they close, call tomorrow asap.

Is it still safe to send in an I-864 for my joint sponsor with 2011/2010/2009 tax transcripts or should I wait the few extra days to get a 2012 tax transcript from him?

If it's just going to take a few days to get the 2012 tax transcripts, it might be better. If you do this, make sure to update the I-864 with the 2012 tax information.

I'm not sure if Jamaica allows advance medicals. I'd suggest you call up the panel physician there and just ask. Fastest way to find out!

No, we don't (mix, that is) ...

Can we talk more about poutine, instead? That's a safe topic, all the way round.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
