Hi Saylin :) We finally got "case complete" this morning!! :dance:^_^:dance:

why would you need to wait another month if it's completed after the 15th? :blink:

The Mumbai consulate says that "The immigrant visa appointment schedule is posted for the current month by approximately the 15th of the previous month." So if we don't get an interview appointment by April 15th, we would have to wait another month (until May 15th) right? :unsure:

Also one more question,

Ive never filed taxes as I have no income. Do I need a letter that says I have no income? Or what do I need to do? Because I believe it says I need my tax transcripts as well. Or am I wrong?

03/18/2013 : 2nd Infopass (No review or processing of any stand-alone I-130s for 60-90 days. URGHHHHHHHHHH)

04/6/2013: NOA2 (228 days from NOA1)

05/10/13 USCIS Atlanta letter to me confirms this date as sent to NVC

05/20/13 NVC Received Case (Waiting on case number)
06/7/2013 NVC case number assinged
06/7/2013 Choice of agent complete now awaiting fees

Gave up tracking when I left overseas...but we are almost done biggrin.png!

Thanks! I just want to get through NVC with flying colors. Hopefully, they will not have any issues with my husband's bc. It's a certified copy and I hope they do not give me any grief about it.

i got a quick question how will i know when my case gets complete would i have to call them or will they email me? they already have both my AOS and IV but of course i call and they tell me that they didn't receive it yet but its there USPS confirmed both with tracking numbers.

Don't rely on an email to tell you case complete. Typically, only those in EP get case complete emails, but every now and then, non-EPers get the case complete email. But it's not 100%. The fastest way to find out will always be by calling.

And remember, although the packages are in the building, the operators won't know until the review has started. Until then, nothing will show up on their computers.

I just sent my DS-261.

Just a question:

Is the A-number (A*********) at the bottom right of the confirmation page my alien number?

I know the MTL on the left is my case number, but I'm wondering about the other one. It might just be the confirmation number. But I don't know my Alien Number (if I have one) so I'm just asking.

So, for whatever reason, I couldn't find the DS-261 confirmation page on my computer. So, I logged into the online forms portal and went through the DS-261 again. The number that starts with the A is most definitely not your A number. One, it says "confirmation number" right above. And two, the A number is ONLY numbers. This one contains letters too.

When I clicked to the confirmation page, a copy was forwarded to NVC blink.gif Wonder what they're going to do with this DS-261 since I already completed my case 2 years ago laughing.gif

I have a question,

Im just getting stuff ready for when I get to the NVC. My father is going to be my co-sponser since I have no income. Does he need this year tax returns and 2 years before or will last years and 2 years before do? Because I know the deadline is April 15 and hes going to use his business taxes as the income as he is the owner, founder, etc. I didnt wanna start another thread so hopefully somebody can help me out here :D

Since you'll be submitting the AOS package after the 15th, the tax deadline, then 2012 taxes will be needed. Hopefully you'll have enough time before you can submit to get transcripts as they're preferred over the ENTIRE tax return.

I'm not sure how Mumbai does it, but a lot of embassies schedule all month long. Regardless, hope you make it on this month's interview schedule (for an interview next month).
