I hope you're right, but we're getting brand new documents from NADRA again, not going to waste time waiting on NVC if they review and reject again.

My wife doesn't have the one from Union Council, so we can only use the NADRA ones. USCIS accepted them, not sure what NVC's problem is with these two documents. mad.gifheadbonk.gif

I wish both of us good luck. It's so annoying to get a checklist at the final stage.

At least he's stepping up to do that! I hope whatever the issue is, it gets cleared up soon! *HUGS*

Never know, maybe we'll interview together?

I would love to meet you :)

Hopefully my checklist has not delayed us too much or I’ll be jobless (end Jun) and homeless (end Jul).

Unfortunately I also scared him the other night when I got off the phone.

I said something about my heart couldn’t take anymore of this.

:(

Poor hubby thought I’d given up on us. As if! He’s the first man I have ever felt like I belonged with.

Hey Saylin, Darnell & other VJ members...hope you could help this person with her doubts...I'm making this post on her behalf as she is not able to make any posts onto any of the threads...her name is zamar.

Hello,

I have been following your timeline, and it's quite similar to mine ( I don't have it updated). But I filed around the same time as you and the beneficiary is in India. I recently submitted my I-864 package, but recieved a reply from NVC that i was missing some information or they needed additional information. After I submitted my package, my husband sent in his IV package separately, so NVC might have not gotten that yet. Could you help me with any of this? I tried posting a topic on the forum, but it wouldn't let me post. If you could help me in any way, I would appreciate it. Or if you know someone else who can help me? Thanks!

I had submitted by AOS Package and got a reply from NVC that I had missing info or they needed additional information. This is what it said in the beginning

"______F - FINANCIAL EVIDENCE:______________________________________

A review of the I-864, I-864EZ, I-864W or I-864A (if applicable) Affidavit of Support form and

supporting documents that you submitted has revealed that you have provided incomplete information in

your response or you have not responded to some questions.

Please pay specific attention to the questions marked in the attached I-864/A checklist. You will need to

complete and submit a new form with the changes noted on the attached checklist.

You will need to follow the instructions for the Affidavit of Support (I-864) that are posted on the

Department of State website at the following address:

www.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov. From there, you can fill out a new form online, print the new

completed form and mail it to NVC. If you are the Petitioner, please read all instructions and complete

the correct form to submit to NVC. An Affidavit of Support form is required to be submitted from the

Petitioner on each case regardless of his/her income level.

NVC will hold this case until you send us these needed items. When you return the documents to NVC,

please make sure that the documents submitted are in the correct order and stapled together, as stated in

the I-864 Important Notice instructions.

When responding to the National Visa Center, please include the bar code sheet that came with this

letter. Failure to include the bar code sheet may cause a delay in the processing of your case. The bar

code sheet should be placed on top of all documents being submitted for this case and mailed to the

address provided."

1. So I submitted an I-864 for myself, and for my joint sponsor ( my brother) . I also submitted an I-864A for a household member (my father). I worked part-time and was not required to file tax-returns because my income was too low. With my package, I sent them a letter stating that I did not file taxes, but they are asking for an explanation again. I'm also a dependent, and using a joint sponsor. Do they need me specifically to explain that I wasn't required to file taxes because my income was too low for it and that I am a dependent? If I didn't file taxes, then I don't have my fed tax returns either, but I did include my W-2s. Then for a proof of current employment, a pay stub for last month would be enough? Also, do I need to print and fill out a whole new form? For my checklist, they said:

"General Instructions

[x] This form must be completed by typewriter or in blue or black ink.

Supporting Documents Missing or Incomplete

[x] It appears that there is no proof of current employment (a recently dated job letter or pay stub), or of

self-employment status (a recently dated letter on business letterhead or a business license).

[x] A written statement/explanation as to why tax returns were not filed is required if you are/have been

unemployed, retired or dependent.

[x] The submitted income tax documents/IRS statements for the years marked below are missing/incomplete (if

you have lost any of the requested tax information, contact your local IRS office to obtain a copy) (Only

Federal returns (not state or local) are acceptable unless the sponsor's income was earned in Puerto Rico.)

• Schedules are missing for the year(s):

[x] 2011 [ ] 2010 [ ] 2009 [ ] 2008.

• Federal income tax returns, literal printouts from the IRS (RTFTP) or a Letter 1722 issued by IRS

are missing/incomplete for the year(s):

[x] 2011 [ ] 2010 [ ] 2009 [ ] 2008.

• W-2 forms are missing/incomplete for the year(s):

[x] 2011 [ ] 2010 [ ] 2009 [ ] 2008.

[x] You have not enclosed an explanation of why you were not required to file income taxes under Federal tax

laws for any/all of the 3 most recent tax years. (Residence outside of the U.S. or retirement does not exempt a

U.S. Citizen or LPR from filing a Federal tax return. Individuals who were required to file a Federal tax return but

failed to do so are advised to file late returns.)

Part 8 Sponsor's Contract

[x] On line 30, the (sponsor ) has not correctly entered his/her own name in the blank, "I,

_________________________________ certify…".

[x] The (sponsor or joint sponsor) has not signed his/her name on the appropriate line.

[x] The (sponsor or joint sponsor) has not dated the appropriate line.

[x] The (sponsor or joint sponsor)'s signature must be original.

[x] The (sponsor or joint sponsor)'s signature must be in blue or black ink."

2.Next, for my joint sponsor, I forgot to include proof of citizenship for him. Do I have to fill out a whole new form again, or just submit the proof? His checklist said:

"General Instructions

[x] The checklist below indicates missing or incomplete documents.

Supporting Documents Missing or Incomplete

[x] You as a joint sponsor have not provided proof of U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident

status."

3. Lastly, for the I-864A that I submitted, they want proof that my father is my father. Would submitting a copy of my birth certificate, and also copies of both mine and my father's license be good? Also, for his assets, does he need to submit a copy of his bank statement of his savings account to show any savings? What other options does he have? Also, do I need to submit a new form for him, or just send in the missing information? For him, it stated:

"General Instructions

[x] This form must be completed by typewriter or in blue or black ink.

Supporting Documents Missing or Incomplete

[x] You as a household member have not provided proof of your relationship to the sponsor.

[x] You have not attached proof of ownership and value of the following assets:

• [x] Savings/checking accounts [ ] Real Estate [ ] Stocks, bonds, Certificates of Deposit, and

other assets."

I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could help me. I want to make sure everything is right this time I send it. Thank you!

I made a mistake on my DS-230 package, first page is not the bar code cover sheet. I put cover letter on the top and then the cover sheet. It arrived at NVC on march 26 but still not reviewed, could this cause a delay?

Oh no! I hope that is not the reason for your delay. I just remembered that's how our IV package might have been sent too just last week. The cover sheet was probably under the cover letter.

Nope, don't worry no0pb.gif They'll see the bar-coded cover sheet once they open the package.

It seems the READY on the site comes once the casefile gets to embassy and they do whatever or NVC does whatever. I guess that's when NVC says Phew we are done. Now you Ready. LOL

Haven't been able to get online. I am not sure this is correct. I think Ready comes once they have finished entering your packets. My case showed Ready one day before it arrived at the embassy. It was Ready the same day they found/reviewed my orphaned IV packet and discovered that the rest of the case was sent the previous Friday.headbonk.gif

Should be fine, they'll see it as long as it was in the package. It's currently taking about 2 weeks to review packets. Call every evening before midnight, this way you get a heads up before any email comes in.
