Hi

Are certified and attested copy, both means the same?

Thank you

Not sure. In Canada, it's called "certified", just like the US. It's when the issuing agency for the certificate produces another copy of the original certificate. Not sure what it's called in other countries.

Guys i wanted to make sure i used the ds3032 email template right because i sent it to them last week Friday.

I sent the following

[...]

I am hoping this what the right way to do it ?

Yes, that's correct.

So weird - when I got home I also received a hardcopy checklist for my DS-261. Obviously a false checklist, but very strange.

blink.gif Weird...

Hi all!

I have a quick question but let me give you a little background information before...

Our case was pushed through at the USCIS stage thanks to our Senator's intervention. We tried to expedite our applications by ourselves prior to contacting our Senator due to our son's autism worsening since my husband's departure to go work in the US and prepare a home for us; however the USCIS dissuaded us to expedite the case, and upon talking with one of the potential future Jnr Senator of my husband's state, we were advised to contact the Senator.

Magically, our cases became available online the day Senator Orrin Hatch contacted them and we were approved the following day.

My question is: do you think our case will also be pushed through at the NVC stage or do we need to ask the Senator to intervene once more? (We have arrived at a stage where my son's school does not want him there as 'they have no time for him').

Thanks all for your precious help!

Expedites don't carry through from USCIS. If you want to be expedited again, you'll need to request it. Good luck!

Case completed....

Woohoo, grats! kicking.gif

Doesn't matter which way no0pb.gif As long as the dates are correct ;)

I would think though that if you had a confusing birthday where you couldn't tell month from date, long form would be best. (Aka March 11 can be written 04/11 or 11/04... Best to write that one out IMHO.)

I feel like at the NVC stage every day becomes a party!

I mean, in comparison to the long I-130 wait. It's almost like everyday something new happens and you know that you are getting closer to the interview date!

Of course you can get an appointment, but if New Delhi is anything like Guayaquil, USCs are sent to a different part of the building than immigrants, so you probably wouldn't even be anywhere near your wife. Plus, I don't know how comfortable I would feel getting an appointment for something for the mere purpose of entering the building, and then ignoring said appointment. What if someone at the consulate were to realize what was happening? Finding out the USC spouse is a liar doesn't seem like a positive way to start the intending immigrant's interview day. unsure.gif It just kind of smells like trouble to me.

Why would they want to file an I-130 without a SSN? That sounds strange to me. Did someone steal their identity and they are working on getting a new SSN, or something? It's a part of the I-130 form. So I would say no, unless they never got one, in which case they wouldn't be allowed to work in the US and they cannot sponsor their spouse without a secondary sponsor (unless they have the minimum amount of assets needed).

Am I understanding the question correctly?
