you need a supervisor on this one... you need to know exactly what date the casefile left nvc.

not what date it was bundled up in the mailroom with the other casefiles,

not the schedule for normal shipping to Nepal,

but

the actual date it left NVC.

If it's still there at NVC today, IMO, will be best that you get exact replicas (including new original docs) of all IV and AOS stuff, prepared before the 9th. That's what that blurb in the email from the IV unit was about... Also, remind anyone at Nepal IV that they can actually use the SAFEFILE version of the casefile, remind them to pull everything out of SAFEFILE (but still present the IV and AOS to them) .

Is quite possible that IV and AOS hasn't been scanned into SAFEFILE yet, but the I-130 set IS scanned into safefile already , so when asking the IV unit to pull the SAFEFILE record, bear that in mind, aye?

They have everything but the DS-230 and the original documents we sent with it and of course photocopies. Impossible to get duplicate originals before the 9th in Nepal. That will take a month.

NVC advises pushing back our interview date and waiting for them to send the IV packet. Spoke with a supervisor who is going to pursue sending it directly to the embassy (after I raised my voice slightly). I have to call again tomorrow to see what they are going to do and how quickly they can do it. I have photocopies of everything here and we can print out a new DS-230.

I guess I should check in. Waiting on the last piece of the AOS checklist to be reviewed. Arrived at the NVC March 25th. Any day now, I hope.

Getting sick of "20 business days"..

If they had told me this piece was needed AGES ago (when they said it was requested, lies!), I might have a case complete by now. But woulda coulda shoulda's dont get anyone anywhere any faster.

It's been almost 10 days since I sent the email to the NVC about correcting our visa post. They already acknowledged it by sending me an email that they are "looking into it".

Since then I've been calling every day to get an update only to be told very vague answers such as "it takes some time" or "it may be several weeks".

We are basically at a stand still right now until the NVC reassigns our case. I can't even pay our IV bill even though NVC has verified that I have been invoiced already.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could do at this point? Sending another email maybe?

Am I the only one having fears of NVC losing the case files? I just hate the 20 day response. And reading stories where they've misplaced original documents.

I just got a checklist for two passport photographs (I included these in the IV package). This is a false checklist right (just a reminder to bring the originals to the interview)?

When you said Certified copy of any document while submitting the DS230, is it the notarized or attested PHOTOCOPY from the SAME government agency from where it had been issued before???

Get another supervisor. That stuff can be sent on, if a supervisor or three makes it happen. OTOH, attend the interview with as much stuff as you have on the 9th, then go into 221g/AP status, until the rest of the casefile shows up.

It sounds like you not bring up what I wrote, with a Supervisor. It pays to do that, so please, do that.

oh, we say a lot of things.

The best bit to pay attention to, is the DoS Instructions, them own selves.

We try, really hard, to mimic exactly what was written there, but sometimes things get lost in translation.

Have a read, from a PC ?

YAY! They FINALLY invoiced us for the IV Now I can THROW my money at them and be happy happy happy!!! On another note I had to get a new passport 2 years before my other passport expired to have my married name in it, and what does lovely passport Canada do... Not send me my birth certificate back Anyway off to pay the IV Bill!
