I have a question and I would really appreciate if you guys could help me out.

After your DS-3032 email is accepted, does the NVC email any DS-230 checklist or any documents to you or the beneficiary ? The reason I ask because my wife and I are currently residing in Singapore and in order to obtain the police clearance, we need a requesting letter from the NVC.

Thanks guys....

From this it looks like you submit your civil documents and wait for your checklist requiring the Police Certificate: http://travel.state.gov/pdf/Request%20Letter%20for%20Singapore%20COC.pdf

Maybe someone in your regional forum would be best to answer this question though.

*Just did some more digging here: http://www.spf.gov.sg/epc/cert_issued.htm

Certificates of Clearance are ONLY available to Citizens of Singapore.

Saylin and All,

We submitted a "certified copy" of the marriage certificate from the state of Missouri complete with notary and seal. They do not issue your original in Missouri (or Illinois for that matter). I figured that was a common practice since in neither Illinois nor Missouri have I actually ever held my original marriage, birth, or divorce record.

They mentioned it in the beginning after hubby arrived at the embassy. Hubby called me at 9am. I explained to him, though he was pretty certain he knew the answer anyways. He hasn't interviewed yet. I only got to speak to him super quick and then he was gone again.

Praying its not a problem because I have no answer to it...

Hi..yes I made it to the next step. I got promoted so to speak. Congratulation to your case number.

Stay calm and collected with all your next steps.

We waited this long, lets not give them reason to have us wait longer.
