My payment of $230 still shows under processing since April 22 ugh I called the NVC they said wait that everyone has the problem I asked if I can send my Ds 260. They said no to wait till it says paid I'm so mad I don't know what to do plz tell me what to do

Does Syria do online forms? You would be sending a DS-230 not a DS-260 (that is an online form.)

Took me maybe an hour or two but I had those 18 addresses. Less would take way less time. I had the PDF email ready to send already too.

Ds-261 took time for them to process, just like the AOS package and IV packages do. You have to think of it like its own package. The annoying part is thinking of the OPTIN email as it's own package too. It's silly but I'm happy to email vs snail mail so if I have to add a few days for things, I don't have to add a few plus shipping!

My DS261 was accepted a long time ago.

As well as the OPTIN.

Got a checklist!!! Because of police certificate amendments. Hate it!!! Dont understand why it is not in the instructions that it should be. If I knew it I should have done it before sending the IV package!! Grrrr What a waste of time!! Please Lord give me more patience...just venting fellow vjers.:)

My DS261 was accepted a long time ago.

As well as the OPTIN.

I'm referring in "general"

Each part is its own package.

If the DS-261 was accepted you'd have the opportunity to pay the IV bill. The DS-261 is the online form version DS-3032.

I know that your OPTIN was accepted or else you would not have sent the AOS package via email. I remember you saying earlier it was accepted.

I do remember things like that.

Yaaay, our interview date was set for June 26th! Thank you Saylin and everybody else for your help smile.png

Congrats! kicking.gif

We, too, have an interview date now. Thank you, VJ, for helping me find everything I need and teaching me so many useful things. Extra shout out to Saylin and Darnell for being the two most devoted forum tigers I have ever seen!

Rawr! I'm a tiger now :D

Congrats though! laughing.gif

Everyone has been saying it's okay to send.

I didn't wait for it to say anything different.

I paid and sent my packet off (of course I'm EP so that's different)

Also, can someone tell me what is the POINT of the IV fee being invoiced after the AOS fee?

What purpose is it that I just sit sit sit.

Is it just so that they don't get everything at once?

I guess I wouldn't understand the point in that either though.

The only reason the IV fee is invoiced after the AOS fee is because the IV fee is dependent upon the DS-3032/DS-261 being received and added to the case file.

Our VISA was approved today!! Hubby will finally be coming home!!! God is good!!! dancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gifdancin5hr.gif

YAY!!!! Congrats! kicking.gif When's he planning on flying and doing his POE?

If that's what they base invoicing on, then major fail.

Considering the 261 is the FIRST thing I did.

How long do the IV documents take to fill out online?

I'm going to be in the states next week so I'm wondering where I'll find time to do it >=[

How long the DS-260 takes is dependent upon how prepared you are. If you have the DS-230 already filled out and have all previous addresses on hand (if applicable), then it should take around 1-2 hours. That's how long it took for me to do mine and I was completely prepared with all dates and addresses.

Our request for expedite was approved Friday night when will the file be sent to the Bermuda embassy?

I would think this week sometime. Call up NVC to find out! It could already be shipped out yes.gif

There is nothing wrong with my NBI. NVC is asking for a police certificate every place you write down in number 30 of DS-230. And to put it on. So I have to get them again and go to places where I resided since 16 years old. Just imagine! It is so unfair bec. some maybe just submitted there NBI and thats it!!

Never thought I'd be so happy to see a database error! Payed AOS last week and funds were taken out of my account last Thursday. I've just been twiddling my thumbs for the system to finally show it as "paid" so that we can move onto the next step!
