I just got a checklist (see below). I didn't put any amount on part 25 of I-864 coz I don't work. Been a fulltime Mom since we have our first born. I think my mistake was, I didn't put $0.0 on the spaces provided. I left them blank. Do you think that's the problem why they are asking for a complete I-864 again? Thanks in advance...

General Instructions

[x] This form must be completed by typewriter or in blue or black ink.

[x] You will need to complete and submit the new form completely filled out (all pages required), which includes

the changes noted below. Submitting single pages of the form with the correction is not acceptable. In order

to make corrections you will need to download a new form at www.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov. Part 6 Sponsor's Income and Employment

[x] Petitioner's income indicated on the I-864 Part 25 does not correspond to the amount shown on the most recent Federal tax return and W-2's.

Hmm.....the last check on the list stating.......part 25 didn't corresponded to the most recent federal tax return and w-2. That's strange you said you were unemployed and I assume for the whole 2012? or just part? but it really doesn't matter at this point if you put a ZERO or not on part 25. If you check unemployed, obvious you makes ZERO and did you submit your most recent w-2? that would throw off the whole thing and confuse the person whom reviewing your case. It very simple process, so either you unemployed submit nothing but I-864 and the rest is coming from your sponsor or you're currently employed + all the documents required, if you have co-sponsor than his too.

Oohh! today I sent my AOS package. I am also unemployed. I checked 22 d. but leave blank the 23, 24 a and 24 c blank. So I will be getting checklist then. :crying:

What did you put on #25? I left that blank that's why we got a checklist. We filed our taxes jointly. I'm unemployed since 2009. I redid the form and put $0.00 on the 3 lines, 2012-2010. I hope I did it right.

Thank you. Just thinking what if I write my previous occupation's designation because that is what I will be doing later too and that is who I am. Unemployment sounds so 'helpless guy' to me.

If you're not currently employed, it'd be LYING if you wrote anything else. It doesn't matter if it makes you feel "helpless", if you're unemployed, you're unemployed.

I got a checklist today... I'm assuming its false because it says they are still waiting on IV fee payments (exact msg below).. just curious, does it mean that my AOS has been accepted. I looked on the payment site and it says paid for both AOS and IV. Please advice

INSTRUCTIONS FOR: ***************************

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

______FEE PAYMENT:_________________________________________________

We are still waiting for the Immigrant Visa fee payment(s). Please submit the fee payment(s) according

to the instructions on the IV fee bill sent to you from NVC. DO NOT SEND FEE PAYMENTS TO

THE NVC NEW HAMPSHIRE FACILITY. THIS WILL DELAY PROCESSING OF THE VISA. If

you have not received an IV fee bill, please contact NVC. Do not pay the fees unless you have the

accompanying IV fee bill as this will result in a delay in processing your case.

Sounds like a false checklist to me, with the AOS being accepted. Call NVC up to confirm! They're open for a little over an hour still :)

Whether you're employed or not, you should still fill out the question. $0.00 would have been the correct answer.

Case complete for me!

Yay, congrats!

2 more days and everyone is moving to new May 2013 thread??? or still staying here awaiting for the cow to come home.........soon or later the cow will eventually come home.

Everyone moves over to the current thread each month yes.gif

I left that blank. Coz I checked unemployed, so I thought It's ok to leave them blank. My husband is the one working. And what I submitted were all W2's of hubby and our joint tax papers (transcripts from IRS). I don't know if I still need to submit cover letter explaining that I am unemployed since 2009.

I know according to the instructions you must fill out all but in this case it said......part 25 this is where you write all your hubby previous taxes return (2012 2011 2010) it doesn't match up with his w-2. Here the confuse part of w-2 is if he enroll in company 401K, you must report the actual wages after 401K. On W-2 will shown 2 incomes one of them is your hubby actual making and one he actual bring home after 401K.

I don't think they complaints about the zero here but what you actual reported on your AOS.
