Hi ! we got the same letter from NVCResearch after we sent our scanned copy and then after two weeks we got respond about our case. So don't worry they have your scanned copies and you should get respond from them next week smile.png

Good luck!

Thank you! I was getting just a bit concerned when I didn't get the acknowledgement email because my attachments were images, not pdfs, but I guess they don't send those emails to everyone or not any more. Thanks. Oh, and wow, you waited a reeeeeally long time for them to receive the case. Sheesh!

yeah we waited almost 3 months! it was a long and confusing months for us. we had no idea where's our case at for 2 months ... NVCResearch found it in a local office where uscis sent it by mistake after approval. they thought that i'm already in usa and i need adj of status.

i wish you to get ur case to nvc as soon as possible ! smile.png

I would expect the resolution email, where they tell me what they found out about my case, to take 2 weeks.

But I was expecting to receive sooner some acknowledgment that someone actually read my email, similar to this one I've found other people post on VJ

"Please be advised that the National Visa Center (NVC) has received your inquiry and the attached I-797 Notice of Action - Approval Notice. Unfortunately, we do not have record of receiving your approved petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. The NVC will contact USCIS on your behalf for information on the location of this petition."
Then they take their time to talk to USCIS. As of right now, I don't even know that a human opened my email.

You are not alone. My case was approved on 03/12/2013 and to this day, NVC has not received it. I had sent NoA2 to NVC research on 04/05/2013, I got response from NVC this morning as follows:

Dear Sir/Madam:

"Please be advised the National Visa Center (NVC) has previously received an inquiry regarding your petition. As we could not locate your petition in our records, we are following up with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Please allow 15 business days for USCIS to locate your petition.

Sincerely,

XXXXXXXXXXX"

I contacted state Senator last week and they said they should have some update for me by end of this week.

If you're unemployed, you're unemployed. You can't write N/A as that question is definitely applicable. Don't ever leave things blank or you'll get a checklist as they'll assume you didn't fill it out. So write unemployed.

Thank you. Just thinking what if I write my previous occupation's designation because that is what I will be doing later too and that is who I am. Unemployment sounds so 'helpless guy' to me.

I got a checklist today... I'm assuming its false because it says they are still waiting on IV fee payments (exact msg below).. just curious, does it mean that my AOS has been accepted. I looked on the payment site and it says paid for both AOS and IV. Please advice

INSTRUCTIONS FOR: ***************************

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

______FEE PAYMENT:_________________________________________________

We are still waiting for the Immigrant Visa fee payment(s). Please submit the fee payment(s) according

to the instructions on the IV fee bill sent to you from NVC. DO NOT SEND FEE PAYMENTS TO

THE NVC NEW HAMPSHIRE FACILITY. THIS WILL DELAY PROCESSING OF THE VISA. If

you have not received an IV fee bill, please contact NVC. Do not pay the fees unless you have the

accompanying IV fee bill as this will result in a delay in processing your case.

I think my mistake was, I didn't put $0.0 on the spaces provided. I left them blank. Do you think that's the problem why they are asking for a complete I-864 again? Thanks in advance...

Need some help on this one: Now my husband filed for the 2012 extension for his taxes...he's not ready yet to file for his taxes.. However, It's not clear if he can just send in his 2009 to 2011 transcripts.. along with his W2's ect.. or is it a requirement that he has to send in the 2012 transcripts right now with the AOS package?..

I am in similar shoes.I am thinking to send copies of tax transcripts for 2009, 2010 and 2011. For 2012, I will include W2s and extension letter for 2012 along with current employment letter with paystubs. (when the great NVC actually generates a case number for me :-) )

Since, everyone has October 15th, when extension is filed, I would not worry much about it.

From my own research, people have had issues because they were self-employed, or they did not have tax filing records for prior years or are currently not employed.

But when you have W2s for 2012+ Extension letter, employment letter, paystubs and prior tax returns, which clearly are above poverty level, I would not worry much about it.

But again, that is just me, take the advise wisely.

Oh, come on NikiR, there is no need for that comment. I have plenty of patience and am in no big hurry. I was just trying to clarify that my question was about the acknowledgment email, not the resolution email. If it takes them 2 weeks to acknowledge they have received my email, so be it, I'll wait. But I thought that in your first response you were maybe saying it can take them two weeks to let me know what they found out (resolution), which is about how long I've seen people here got their response. Maybe they don't even send those acknowledgment emails any more.

Anyway, thanks for your response!

My statement was general. Not specific to you. ;) I've been there. No worries.

Ds-260 cannot be done until it shows paid and you shouldn't send the iv package without the form complete and sent.

if I thought burning joss would help my case, I'd have a stick burning in perpetuity from now till my husband gets home! And I'm an atheist! :)

I'm a dual US/Hungarian citizen (both by birth; Hungarian citizenship verification TBA), and my husband is a dual British/Irish citizen (by treaty) from Northern Ireland. We are atheists.

I'm a cranky curmudgeon. I burn joss every day. I don't pay any attention to The God, whoever She is.

But I digress. Get some movement? Burn some joss, as the NVC Gods have blessed you today.
