Hello everyone. Received my NOA2 March 29th.

Waiting for case number and Identification Invoice.

Waiting....waiting....I got pretty good at it.

Hello :) We got approved since march of 25th, we havent been given case # either. I looked at some VJ members and statistics say we have to count 1 month and 5-10 days, so lets fingers crossed

Yeah, but I want to get an interview before July, my wife can only visit me for the summer during her break from university... cray5ol.gif

I'm hoping they assign interview dates at the beginning of the month, that would be awesome!

We can just pray that NVC doesn't take much longer now and give us close an interview date.smile.png

I'm having trouble finding what happens after I send the AoS.

From reading the canada wiki, it mentions 'if you find out from an operator that you received a checklist'

Does this mean I am not done calling NVC?

I guess I need to call them to figure out if the AoS was accepted?

Approximately how many days should I wait for that?

Also, for proof of domicile, my address has been in the US from the beginning, never listed the canadian address as my address, but DID provide a lease in Canada in both of our names as evidence of relationship.

I provided several items in the AoS package as evidence of domicle such as a lease with my mother, my license, health insurance, car insurance, and bank account.

Since I never claimed to be domiciled in Canada, does anyone suspect I would have any issues?

I know Montreal is REALLY strict about this.

I mean I even have illinois plates on my car. =]

I suppose I could have sent them copies of my car financing as well lol

KDH, calling the NVC will in fact be useful in telling you the AOS has been accepted (they will only say "it's fine" but that is what they mean). Wait about a week.

Evidence of relationship is not the same as evidence of domicile. You've already proven you have a relationship; now concentrate on domicile stuff. Send copies of your domicile evidence to the NVC to see if they can be added to your case file, and bring copies to your interview in case they did not make it in. I don't think it will be a problem; after all many couples jointly own property in other countries, such as the family home that one spouse's mother still lives in, or rental property. They're not expected to sell it just because they now domicile in the US.

I'm a dual US/Hungarian citizen (both by birth; Hungarian citizenship verification TBA), and my husband is a dual British/Irish citizen (by treaty) from Northern Ireland. We are atheists.

Yes, it's still a good idea to call NVC to know when the packages have been approved. Start calling on Monday.

The stuff you sent in for proof of domicile is good good.gif But remember, you're not supposed to list Canada as being your place of domicile, you're supposed to list the US as so. Then you need to submit as much proof that you essentially have ties to the US. Which sounds like you did. You should be fine for NVC, but make sure you bring as much US domicile proof as you can. Do you have a job lined up yet back in the US?

I DIDNT list canada as my place of domicile.

Ever.

I've been working at the same job in the US for 3+ years.

I included pay stubs from very recently, end of 2012, and end of 2011 as proof of this along with my employment letter.

I work remote with my job.

I stay in Canada for a few months, then go home.

In fact, I'm working right now, except sitting up in canada.

Every online.

It sounds like you're more of just VISITING Canada than actually living there. Which, if you are, then you really don't need to worry about proving US domicile.

What happens after a case complete at NVC? How long after the CC would it be before we could expect an interview in London?

Thanks smile.png

After a case complete, the case is put into queue for an interview date to be scheduled. I believe London is similar to the global average of 2 months from CC to interview date.
