That's not what I meant LOL. I kinda envy of the Canadian health care system and the fact that you guys don't have to deal with all these gun nonsense.

My wife actually doesn't want to move to the States considering that Singapore is much safer than the U.S. but we still have our family over there so we have to move soon or later.

You can't have everything I guess :(

I still haven't recieved said email to this date, I went ahead and email the ds-3032 yesterday just to not waste any time but apart from the automated email i still haven't got any email from them, is this normal? also i went on the payment portal to check if i could pay but after putting in my case number and IV number a red message came up saying that the combination numbers does not match any records, im sure thats the number i recieved.

I've just been on the payment portal website just as an off-chance and my case is still showing as 'Not Invoiced' after 4 days.

However my children's now get an error message saying 'You cannot make online payments for your case at this time. Please contact the NVC if you have questions or need further information.' I was able to log on this morning and find the 'Not Invoiced' status for them too...

Wow, well that did not go very well!

I called the DOS to explain the problem I had to which they told me to contact the NVC.

I then contacted the NVC who told me that it can take up to 20 business days to get invoiced. Initially the adviser told me they needed to send out some paperwork, to which I asked what kind of paperwork it was as we only needed for an invoice to be generated.

I asked her to check on my children's cases as I explained the error message I saw on the payment portal, she put on hold without even taking the reference nimber and after a few seconds came back and said, they need further administrative processing (??!!?) so we need to wait a little more. I asked her what kind of processing to which she replied that she could not help.

Hi lisap, I received our case number a,d IIN and the 22 nd, still not received any email (are you EP?). I sent the ds-3032 via email, it apparently takes 10 days to review them.

Out of the 3 cases we have, I can only log onto one of them, but can not pay as the bill hasn't been invoiced yet.

As for the other 2, I also get an error message to contact the NVC.

I would advise you to call back the NVC and confirm your case and IIN # with them.

What did you tell the DOS? I tried to explain our problem to which they referred me starightaway to NVC...

Um... best I can explain it is I "spoke IT" to them and explained the issue with the website. I worked on an IT help desk for a while so I probably just framed the issue differently.

That error message typically indicates that a bill is being invoiced.

Are you logging onto the payment portal on IE? Don't use any other browser for this...

I have completed my AOS packet and will scan it and send it tomorrow.

Then I have to finish reviewing my DS-260 and submit that also. Real close there too. Is it possible that I will be required to add additional documents or info to the IV document submission based on some of my answers in the DS-260 (like have you ever had a green card before? - yes) or should I just go ahead and send the standard packet of documents (birth certificate, passport copy, marriage license, pics, police clearance)? If so I could do that tomorrow to.

Is it acceptable to send the IV documents before you submit the DS-260?

Thanks.

It's possible you need to include extra documentation in the IV package. Like, if one was previously here in the US on a J1 visa, they need to prove they've completed the 2 year residency requirement. But, it doesn't apply to everything. I was previously in the US for two years on a L2 visa, but I never needed to show any documentation. It varies by situation.

Hi everyone, I called and got my case number and IV number on the 23rd, the lady told me i couldnt do anything with them as yet but i would recieve an email with information. If you just sent the DS-3032, it's currently taking 1-2 weeks to reply, so definitely nothing to worry about yet for that.

If you're getting an error message like that, then the numbers are wrong. You're putting in the entire case number (including the 3 embassy letters)? You're putting the IIN in the right spot? If so, you may want to call up NVC and verify those 2 sets of numbers.

what does "receive I-864 package" refer to on my timeline?

Is that when someone actually acknowledges getting it?

Or when I send it?

Neither. That means you received the AOS instructions from NVC. I personally never got the AOS instructions (only the IV one), so don't fret if you didn't receive them.

So I guess filling that part in on my timeline doesn't matter.
