84 days!!!! Holy Cow!!! What happened there???

I just emailed, like 30 min ago, the scanned copy of I-797 and approval notice from the local office to NVCResearch (and cc'd NVCINQUIRY just in case) .

I read here that local offices sometimes take longer to send to NVC, so I am not getting worried just yet.

I've been calling NVC pretty much every day for the last couple of weeks, and USCIS few times in between. Of course, they say it can take 30-90 days for NVC receive it.

Thanks and I really hope they assign your case asap, and hopefully let you expedite from here on.

We call USCIS but they never give us any information. they only says they have to wait till 90 days to send it for review. as pet NVC research it tool them 2 months to locate it. And finally it went to NVC last monday. we never ask assistance to a senator and congressman. because the more you ask help to high authority the more USCIS will hold the petition. what I did I send a follow up letter to nvc research and we let NVC and Uscis communicates. but finally it went thru in NVC im just hoping my consulate will be in singapore. and not in manila. because its much convenient for me here. than going home for interview and take a leave from work. just waiting for the case number lol

I've just been on the payment portal website just as an off-chance and my case is still showing as 'Not Invoiced' after 4 days.

However my children's now get an error message saying 'You cannot make online payments for your case at this time. Please contact the NVC if you have questions or need further information.' I was able to log on this morning and find the 'Not Invoiced' status for them too...

I have completed my AOS packet and will scan it and send it tomorrow.

Then I have to finish reviewing my DS-260 and submit that also. Real close there too. Is it possible that I will be required to add additional documents or info to the IV document submission based on some of my answers in the DS-260 (like have you ever had a green card before? - yes) or should I just go ahead and send the standard packet of documents (birth certificate, passport copy, marriage license, pics, police clearance)? If so I could do that tomorrow to.

Is it acceptable to send the IV documents before you submit the DS-260?

Thanks.

because the more you ask help to high authority the more USCIS will hold the petition.

That's actually not true. It is easy to believe that they are vindictive, but 9 times out of 10 a word from the immigration staffer gets them moving.

I called both the NVC and the DOS this morning. The problem is known and is being worked on. If the payment cleared your bank, then you probably show "PAID" in their internal system and it is not delaying your case. My own case shows "PAID" in their system but "IN PROCESS" on the website.

I'm now showing PAID. I think they really worked hard on the problem. Hooray :)

It's been 4 days and my IV payment still hasn't been cleared. On the website it says still in processed. I called the NVC today and they told me to wait a few more days I'm worried

No reason to be worried. The website malfunctioned and they're backed up. If your bank shows that your payment cleared, your fine; go ahead and send in your package with the cover sheet you printed from the website.

No need to wait. Go ahead and send it. By the time it gets there, they will see in their system that it is paid, even if the website doesn't show it by then.

A&C, Hikergirl and me are all gonna be at the same interview!! I know it! LOL Hurry up KDH, you need to join.

At this point, i'm just hoping my interview doesn't come during my sister's wedding :(

Is your spouse the reason you are moving to the States ? To be honest, I would be much happier if my wife and I can move to Canada instead .

:ot2:

I thought this was everyone's reason... if it wasn't, or at least the majority of the reason, then I think they're doing this for the wrong reason lol
