LOL congrats to all our Canadian friends who are getting an interview. I hope it will go well for all of you

:ot:

Is your spouse the reason you are moving to the States ? To be honest, I would be much happier if my wife and I can move to Canada instead .

It's been a week and my IV payment still hasn't been cleared. I already sent in my IV application by email. Not sure if it's been processed. I called the NVC today and the operator told me to wait a few more days and then do DS-260.. very confused. Did anybody here encounter this problem? I wonder if my process is been stalled because of this.

has it cleared your bank?

Yes. The fund was cleared from my bank the second day. But the NVC payment website still showing "IN PROCESS". The operator told that it's taking longer than normal in their system. Very frustrated...

I called both the NVC and the DOS this morning. The problem is known and is being worked on. If the payment cleared your bank, then you probably show "PAID" in their internal system and it is not delaying your case. My own case shows "PAID" in their system but "IN PROCESS" on the website.

My husband does not like the cold at all.

Our weather this spring has him baffled (still snowing as of last weekend).

So Yes, he is the reason I am moving to the US.

NVC still didn't receive our case 22 days later. Sigh. unsure.gif

We are likely to exit this April NVC thread without us ever entering the NVC.

i think you need to send your file in NVC research. i was approve January 29,2013 it took 84 days to be in NVC now im waiting for my case number. If you read other vj friends their file were transfer approx 10 days to NVC but if its 22 days you need to check on uscis and send to nvc research.

84 days!!!! Holy Cow!!! What happened there???

I just emailed, like 30 min ago, the scanned copy of I-797 and approval notice from the local office to NVCResearch (and cc'd NVCINQUIRY just in case) .

I read here that local offices sometimes take longer to send to NVC, so I am not getting worried just yet.

I've been calling NVC pretty much every day for the last couple of weeks, and USCIS few times in between. Of course, they say it can take 30-90 days for NVC receive it.

Thanks and I really hope they assign your case asap, and hopefully let you expedite from here on.
