Congressman just heard from the consulate, they didn't approve the expedite. Oh well. The case is approved and waiting for the interview. The liaison sounded upset. Anyhow, she requested I let her know of the scheduled interview date so that she can write a letter to the consulate on the behalf of the congressman requesting full and fair consideration. Would this letter be helpful / detrimental or neutral?

I can't see how it would hurt. It shows that a bigwig is personally interested in your case and they may be answerable to him.

I'm a dual US/Hungarian citizen (both by birth; Hungarian citizenship verification TBA), and my husband is a dual British/Irish citizen (by treaty) from Northern Ireland. We are atheists.

All advice is given pursuant to the Disclaimer that you may read at the bottom of each forum page.

Although it's nothing fancy, looks like it has everything needed good.gif

When I send my AoS packet I can send it in one big pdf?

Yes, I recommend it should only be one file. Just make sure it's not too big in size though.

I'd say either neutral or helpful. Can't see how it'd be detrimental.

When is the proof of domicile turned in?

If I do the other form online, I'm not sure when I turn that stuff in...

Does the police check get uploaded somewhere with the online forms?

Also the long form BC

Part of the electronic processing. You scan them and send them in via e-mail.

Then bring the originals to the interview.

ok so I don't worry about that, also the marriage cert until I fill out the 260/261/230 whatever thing online. I don't feel like looking up the actual number at the moment but you get my point.

Right. You fill in the on-line Visa Application. Then you send an e-mail to NVCElectronic as per Saylin’s wonderful guidelines and scan and attach your civil docs. Mine had:

Please find attached the following supporting documents for the DS-260 submitted 23 Mar 2013:

- Document Cover Sheet

- Birth Certificate

- Marriage License

- Military Records

- Passport Biography page

- Photograph

- Canadian Police Certificate

:)

Of course as per sensei Saylin I had all of my documents scanned and in one .pdf file

Where are you getting that cut-off date for interviews? Remember, interviews are scheduled all month long, no matter when you got a case complete...

Besides filling out the DS-260 online, you still need to email an IV package with supporting documents. Please read my wiki? There's more than just a PCC and BC for the supporting documents.
